Older hotel in the center of things

Posted May 21, 2015
This hotel is ideally located for visits to Central Park, museums (we went to the Metropolitan Museum), and Broadway. The hotel upgraded us to a suite because there was a tour group staying there. The suite was very large with a safe, 3 closets, mini-bar (refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker). There were 2 window mounted air conditioners. It was very quiet, the wait staff was efficient and friendly. The lobby was disappointing.

Nice hotel in central area

Posted May 21, 2015
We stayed at the Salisbury for three night and loved the area. We actually had a suite which was huge! Its the perfect location for a hotel. We walked to time square as well as central park. We can't wait to come back and stay again. Its not very updated but the staff was friendly and helpful. In fact the bell hop man explained to us how to ride the subway. It was very helpful!!

It was a nice hotel near Central Park.

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: The cost proximity to Central Park.
Cons: Rooms could be updated.
Location: Central Park was close by, and we walked to the Museum of Natural History.
It was a good hotel for 9 of us, got one suite and one room with two double beds. The beds seemed small, and the water faucet where the coffee pot was located was not working. However, for the money I would recommend it.

Nice location in Mid Town

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Love the location.
Cons: Free wifi, ice machines in locations other than ground floor, updated bathrooms.
I've been going to the Salisbury since the 1980s - and the decor needs a serious update. I love the location - just 2 blocks off Central Park, but next visit, I will look for something with free wifi and furnishings that my grandmother would find dated and cheap!

Beware You get what you pay for.

the hotel is very old. The bathrooms are very small and have less than adequate space for your toiletries. The elevator is small and you wait for ever to reach the ground floor

Great hotel close to everything. Staff very helpful. Convenient to Central Park and Times Square. Great that there is a market just across the street to pick up food and drinks. Room was a large suite and very comfortable. Wound definitely stay at this hotel again.
