A cavernous dump, but cleanPosted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Great location and spacious. If it would have been just me and hubby or just me and adult daughter, the requirements would have been different.
Cons: Free WiFi
Location: Everything is nearby
I wanted a lot of space because it was a trip with our adult daughter and we do yoga. The place was huge and unrennovated but clean. Lots and lots of space, probably the same square footage as three normal rooms.

Older hotel off the main trek but convenient to main attractions. Room was a nice size. I would stay there again.

Special trip to New YorkPosted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: It has the feel of the "old" New York , small but classy and aged like a fine wine.
Cons: The woodwork in guest rooms could use a fresh coat of paint.
Location: GREAT location. Across from the Russian Tea Room and Carnegie Hall, this hotel is within walking distance of 5th Ave., Broadway, Radio City, the Park
I took by Granddaughter to New York for her 18th birthday present. My daughter and I had made several trips to New York when she was a teenager and had stayed at the Salisbury. I was delighted to be able to stay there on this occasion as well. I found it to be a clean and friendly hotel, with good service and great rates, much as it had been 20 some years ago. Nice to see some things don't change. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Nice Hotel in GREAT Location for a GOOD PricePosted Dec 15, 2014
Cons: Needs to be updated
Location: 2 blocks from Central Park, walking distance from Rockefeller Center, easy access to Subway
This hotel is definitely older, but it is two blocks from Central Park and walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Also, the subway is easily accessible to the hotel. The hotel is well kept, but not extraordinary. However, if you are visiting NYC, hopefully you will not be spending too much time in the hotel. Probably will stay there again someday because of location.
