Pros: Hotel is in a great location, although a little dated it is clean and the bed was very comfy.
Cons: the decor and the bathroom, again it was nice and clean just dated.oh and the air conditioning unit, although ive not come across a quiet one yet.
Location: Great location ,near the yellow line subway, central park is a block away, within walking distance of times square and even ESB.Many fine shops nearby.
A nice big room, very comfy large bed which was very nice after a long day of walking/sightseeing.the room was on the 11th floor at the back so nice and quiet. The hotel was very pleasant and served our purpose.the subway is nearby ,a great base to explore New york.

Perfectly located affordable NYC hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: See above details--location/price/comfort/quiet/amenities
Cons: The Maxwell House coffee for the coffee maker would be best replaced by a local company or Starbucks.
Location: 1.5 blocks from Central Park; Less than 2 miles from Penn Station; 1.5 miles from the MET; across the street from the Russian Tea Room.
This hotel, while not fancy, provides a flawless place to stay, with all the amenities of good location, mini-kitchen, lots of space, comfortable bed, and very quiet. The fact that we got a rate under $250 a night was surprising. We will return to this hotel, whenever we need a place to stay in NYC.

Good location, near Central Park

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: The location and hospitable staff
Cons: There should be free Internet
Location: Stroll around Central Park, visit the MoMa and Rockefeller Center
The hotel is within walking distance to the areas of interests-- Central Park, Rockefeller Center, MoMa. It is also nice walking several blocks to Broadway and Times Square. Around it are several restaurants offering a variety of food that are suited for one's budget.

Great location for exploring N.Y..

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location the best.
Cons: Bathrooms a little dated.
Location: subway close. Close to central park. Close to restaurants and not far from time square. We walked mostly and only used the subway once.
Lovely staff. Very helpful. A bit odd eating breakfast with plastic cutlery but food lovely and fresh.

A Gem

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Cons: Shower could have been a bit stronger, but overall very very nice.
A wonderful gem in the heart of NYC. Close to Central Park, across the street from Carneige Hall. Old world charm. Clean room. High ceilings. Large closets. Comfortable beds. Welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast.

The hotel is in a great location

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Would benefit from some modernisation
Location: Central park very close and a short walk to Time square
The hotel is in a great location close to central park and time square. Although it is dated and would benefit from some modernisation it is still very comfortable. We had a huge room which we were told was a free upgrade on the 8th floor which wasat the back of the hotel so it did not suffer from any traffic noise. I would say overall very good value for money for a New York hotel
