Good property, excellent staff,Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff, location, easy access.
Cons: I don't like it when I have to pay for wifi access in my room...but it was free in the lobby.
Location: Easy access to the subway. Junior's deli is right around the corner for great diner food and pastries. Also a hot dog stand and lots of shopping
This is a good Brooklyn hotel. We wanted a place to stay to explore everything that Brooklyn has to offer and this hotel delivered! It's about a 4 block walk to the subway, so easy access to anywhere. Walking distance to Barclay center. There is a lot of shopping around too. Beery staff person was super nice. Like any NYC hotel the room wasn't huge but it had everything you needed. It was very clean. There is a pool too!!!

A nice and not too expensive NY LocationPosted Apr 14, 2014
Easy to reach fro the airport, and perfect if you have a car. Yes, it is possible to use a car in NY, and Brooklyn is the perfect spot for it Thanks to the location and my daughter I discovered Long Island, the 20th time I was in NY The rate to the staff is due mostly to the fact I'm sort of solitary, so over attention is NOT what I like

Excellent hotel in Downtown Brooklyn.Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The entire staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and adequate.
Cons: The management for Jose O'Shea's restaurant doesn't seem to be on top of the needs and expectations of hotel guests.
Location: Breakfast and lunch at Juniors Restaurant is a must.
The Brooklyn Sheraton provided a comfortable hotel at a reasonable rate. The room was clean, but small (king bed didn't allow room for much extra space). The staff was cordial and efficient. Sunday breakfast at the restaurant, Jose O'Shea's, was disappointing...many menu items were not available and the pastrami hash was substituted with potatoes without notice by the server (oh, yes, we are out of that too).

Hotel staffPosted Apr 6, 2014
The facilities at the hotel was more than comfortable for our short stay, but the staff of the night shift was exceptional. After traveling more than 400 miles we arrived near 10:30 with a slight glitch with our reservation. The staff went beyond their duty to get us parked, find food options and make sure we were okay. What could have been a diaster turned into a great stay. We will return in a few months.

Very nice hotelPosted Mar 31, 2014
Everything was great. There was a slight problem with the room type but it was corrected within ten mins. Don't order breakfast in bed unless you want broken glasses everywhere.

Nice place to stay in BrooklynPosted Mar 31, 2014
The Sheraton Brooklyn hotel is a nice place to stay. My room was clean, on the small side but had nice finishes, a comfortable bed, a nice desk area and a clean fancy bathroom. Check-in took a little while as there was a line at the desk and the staff did seemed a little overwhelmed but where polite. My GPS took me on a round about route to get to the hotel and then also did the same thing when walking to the subway station so be prepared to walk in circles a bit. Great experience overall though!

Kind of shady.Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Clean and modern.
Cons: See above!
Location: I didn't hang around in Brooklyn but was attending a conference uptown. The subway was near, so that was helpful in terms of saving taxi fare.
I booked through Expedia and got what I thought was a great rate for a room w/ a king sized bed. Upon check-in, I was put into a room with two double beds. When I inquired about this, I was told that rooms with two beds are actually more expensive than a room with a king. I'm not entirely sure I believe this, especially as subsequently I learned elsewhere that hotels treat their Expedia guests worse than those who book directly and pay the full price. I was at a room at the end of a hall, which was fine, except since I was near the stairwell the sounds from the club downstairs somewhere came up into my room - literally, I could hear the bass through my pillow, and I was more than 10 stories up! Plus, the room was never below 76* no matter what I did. When I asked about this, I was told that the system has to be switched for the season, i.e., they run the heat until it generally gets warmer outside when they switch to air; there apparently was no way to cool down the room with AC until the system was converted. The front desk staff and room service servers were really kind, but there were gaffes with things like being disconnected and re-routed when trying to order room service (I kept ending up at guest services - ??). Overall, I think next time I'll stay closer to the city. If I'm going to be uncomfortable and not be 100% certain I'm getting what I paid for, at least I can be nearer the action.
