Too much nickel and diming. No internet service in the room without paying extra. You can't use the lounge without paying extra. The key kept de-programming so it was difficult to get into the room and the elevator.

Large bathroom and great views from bedPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed everything, especially the health club and the pool. The on-duty lifeguards on Sunday and Monday were kind, helpful and very professional.
Cons: Unfortunately you can't stop the construction and that will mean losing great views from the 20 floors windows.
Location: There are multiple subway lines if you are traveling by subway (we were). There's great shopping, restaurants and walking.
The hotel pool was not long in length and depth but in a nice spot along side a little out-door sitting area. A beautiful set of windows (unfortunately showing multiple high-risers under construction which will all ultimately block the lovely view in due time). The bathroom was quite large with an on-point glass-enclosed shower. We watched an incredibly- sized television (about 60-70 inches) and, actually listened to the radio while most hotel don't even have radios these days. During our next visit, we plan to eat at the on-site restaurants, but since this was our first hotel stay in Brooklyn, we wanted to dine out.

Did not have chance to eat at Jose O'Sheas- butPosted Aug 20, 2014
Hotel was excellent. Starbucks coffee in the room a plus! Comfortable beds! Absolutely love the option of "refusing" maid service every day- and a $5 voucher or spg points. This makes so much sense, part of going green. Location is great, off the main drag but close to Fulton and shopping restaurants, buses, and the subway.

Nice hotel, good value, close to ManhattanPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Good location and saved a few bucks rather than staying in Manhattan. Close to subways so you are minutes away.
Cons: Nothing - wireless rates but we solved that.I
Location: Fairly central for other non Manhattan activities. Mets game, Coney island and and JFK easily accessible from subway.
Overall is was a great stay. I was there for a week and would go back again. The only potential negative would have been their wireless rates for the room. But they waived the fee seeing I was there for a week. Didn't use the restaurant as I had other more "new york" appetite ideas. Coffee shop downstairs - Starbuck coffee but not the full store was friendly and efficient. Didn't try the bar as I had my 12 yr old with me. Nice enough sized room for new york with great bedding. No problems with elevators as seen in other posts. Pool was nice at the end of the muggy days after sightseeing and what not.

Not great but not badPosted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: The hotel can use an upgrade.
Location: Barclay's Center, City of Brooklyn, Atlantic Ave
The hotel is adequate and serves it's purpose. It's best attribute is the location in the heart of Brooklyn. This location puts you right in the center of a city that is growing and has many things to offer.

Good stay - A little priceyPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Good service, good staff assistance and customer service.
Cons: Long term stay discounts. Also the car service to the Newark Airport ripped us off for $97.50 after the front desk told us it would cost about $84 max
We were there for a week for my son's operation. Would have appreciated some kind of long term discount, since we were not tourists and never used the amenities.
