“"Not what was promised"”

The person I booked with on Expedia promised a skyline view of Manhattan from our room, that didn't happen. Plus I found out it costs 25 dollars a day to park in the hotel parking lot, honest to God I'm not joking. The suite had no sleeper sofa as promised. On the positive side the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The ferry into the city was right outside the hotel, convenient but pricey.Bus service was also within easy walking distance. Restaurant on first floor was pretty decent with a nice view of the city and river. It was my first visit to New York and next time I'll definitely stay in the city.

Area recommendations

Midtown was nice,also liked the downtown area. But the part of the city I really like are Soho, Greenwich village and Tribeca. Chinatown and Little Italy were a waste of time. Cheesy tourist traps with junky souvenir shops filled with pushy sales people, they just won't take no for an answer. The guys standing outside the restaurants in Little Italy hounding you to eat in their restaurants is beyond tacky. Chinatown is dirty and crowded and people are hustling bootleg designer purses that look like they would fall apart in a week. Wanted to eat there but the smell made me lose my appetite. One more thing do not miss St. Patrick's cathedral the most beautiful church I have ever seen it's stunning.

“Great view of NYC and their parking lot. Now if they can only make into a decent Hotel.”

Rented their "suite". Disappointed to say the least. Basically the only positive attribute is their view of NYC which is spectacular but their parking lot cannot be removed from being part of the view. Better off on a warm night to simply take a walk. One of the TVs did not work. I was told they were sending an engineer. He never showed up. Ordered breakfast in Bed. Expensive and instead of sending nice chinaware or even your basic mug, we were sent paper cups to our "suite" to drink the coffee. Eggs were decent if you ate fast before they got cold. Toasted bread came wrapped which made it soggy. Coffee way to strong. Asked for hot water to dilute it. Took 1/2 hour to get to us after I pleaded for them to rush. Nothing within walking distance like a pharmacy. No gift shop within the hotel or within walking distance. What a waste of a great view.

“Perfect location considering neighborhood, restaurants and view”

Sheraton hotels are a guarantee. this specific hotel is perfectly well located in New Jersey, walking distance from Ferry and great restaurants. last but not least, just look ourside your room window, and you will discover a fantastic view of Manhattan, day and night. Personnel was very kind and helpfull. Pity for the breakfast area, totally ineficient, bad service, and bad food. Do not go to the hotel's Italian Restaurant.

“weekend getaway”

were extremly satisfied with the cleanliness of our rooms and we loved the modern interior design of the bathroom. Its convenient to take the bus to Bus terminal/Port Authority. Nice view of Manhattan skyline.

“This hotel is a real hidden jewel.”

This hotel is a hidden jewel. Staying on New Jersey side with views across to Manhattan was an unexpected highlight of our NYC trip! We were on 8th floor of Sheraton Lincoln Harbor, in a Manhattan skyline view suite, and from our large picture window were treated to gorgeous morning sunrises, evening sunsets, and lovely daytime views of that famous skyline. As equally enjoyable was watching the river traffic on the Hudson River which changed constantly. Ferry terminal just nextdoor to hotel, with very convenient ferry service across to Manhattan every 20 minutes....ferry only takes 5 minutes across, and then ferry buses or cabs are available to take you wherever you need to go. Sheraton is also just one street away from New Jersey lightrail system for a trip down to ferry terminal for Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty cruise. Suites are very comfortable and clean, much less $$ than staying in Manhattan, and with the added benefit at the end of a busy day of sightseeing of being able to jump on the ferry and escape from the busy noise of Manhattan to the peace and quiet of the hotel. Great Italian restaurant Masina on ground level of the hotel too, with award winning chef and very friendly staff. On the whole we found it hard to find something to criticize about the Sheraton LH. We have travelled a lot and this is definitely one of best hotel experiences we have had. Were sad to leave the room & incredible view!

Greenwich Village and Citarella's Deli, with Lenny's Sandwich Shop across street, at corner of 6th & 9th Streets. NYC Library and Bryant Park nextdoor on 42nd Street. Dinner at Charthouse restaurant a short walk along waterfront from Sheraton Lincoln Harbor......restaurant situated on a pier jutting out onto Hudson River and with glorious view across river to Manhattan skyline..

“Mini honeymoon”

Very accommodating! They made my mini honeymoon extremely enjoyable. Room was fantastic, great view of new York city! Hotel restaurant had great food and yummy drinks. I would definitely stay here again.
