“Horrible!”

Very dirty Hotel, discusting.....we were suppose to stay 6 nights, left next morning and went to a different hotel. Very bad................

“Convenient for NYC Marathon runners”

My second stay here. Cheapest hotel to stay in for the NYC Marathon. Very nice rooms, staff was very helpful. Checked our bags before and after the race. Free shuttle to Secaucus Trains approx every hour. Last time they had a free shuttle to the Meadowlands for the Marahton bus pickup which was nice. This year they charged $5.00 per person.

“Welcome to the Twilight Zone VERY POOR LOCATION”

This hotel is almost impossible to find. The New Jersey Highway system is confusing and if you get lost no one in the area seems to be able to give you reliable directions to get to this hotel. It sits near and around some routes and highways. It overlooks a toll booth. Again if you get lost you could end up in some very seedy parts of town On the good side the beds are comfortable, staff were nice, hotel was fine, pool was great, nice view of nyc from a distance, friendly shuttle drivers, on the not so nice side we had to call for toilet paper 3x (one time we waited several hours and were completey out) they give you 1 extra roll in the closet but it was gone, shuttle only holds 10 or so people and usually several people are in need of the shuttle service, if you have a rental car there are some resturaunts close by but sooo difficult to get to and back to hotel. If you don't have a rental car there is NOTHING by the hotel. The shuttle will take you to an outlet with a few places to eat but not much there. The hotel would be a lot more desirable if it was easy to get to and from I cannot say that enough and if was near some eataries..

“Very nice hotel, if you don't mind the commute to/ from the city..”

Great Hotel, and only a 20 minute commute (10 min to train station...10 minute train ride to Penn station NYC). For me, that was a problem, especially since the shuttle from the train station stopped running at 11:45 pm. If you don't plan on staying out late, and are looking for a quiet retreat, just outside the city, then this is the place for you! Great service...Very comfortable. I will probably spend the extra $$$, and stay in the city next time.

Area recommendations

We loved the meat packing district, as well as Greenwich Village, Soho. Very cool areas. Great bars, restaurants, bars, shopping. We spent 90% of our trip there.

“Not bad”

Hotel was alright overall. We thought they could improve some areas mentioned below: 1) their transportation dept. told us there was no direct train service between seacacus rail station to Newark international airport (EWR) - they were wrong. 2) If you ask the transportation dept. to get a taxi from hotel to airport (EWR) they were asking $ 5 to $ 8 more than what we ended paying up ( $ 48 including $ 3 toll) 3) hotel stuff was not very knowledgeable guiding tourists

“Disappointed”

Expedia notes that this hotel is near the city and close to EWR (9km) its 9 miles and a $60 cab ride - When I called and asked I was told there were no shuttles and to take the cab. To get to midtown its another $80 each way - Only after specifically asking if NJ transit train was close as it had a Seacaucus stop was I then directed to the $20 cab ride to the station. Caveat Emptor - there is a reason this center is inexpensive - hallways and lobby are run down although the rooms them selvers are an acceptable "3" - Due to location this hotel should be a 2 or at least better info in the description -

Stay in newark near airport or Midtown - even seacauacus neartrain would be acceptable

“Can't wait to go back”

Very conveniently located, because in a 10 minute drive you are in Manhattan. The place is a little difficult to find if you are coming on I 95, but I think Sheraton Meadowlands is a very popular destination and everybody you ask would be able to give you directions to the hotel if you get lost in the area. They upgraded us to a room with view of New York, which was really great, although this background was rather a little far. I would definitely go again.
