“A Delightful Stay”

My plan arrived later in the evening and naturally I was quite tired. One should be aware that the shuttle really does not wait long...but the hotel was very comfortable, Service was professional and the environment was most comfortable. I would stay again, my accommodations were of the Sheraton standard!

“Great quick overnight”

Really glad we chose this hotel when we got into EWR late at night. The shuttle was timely and efficient. Walls were really thin and got noisy late night on Friday. Best room for the rate we've ever enjoyed.

“Happy”

Had to stay overnight for an early morning flight. Professional, efficient check in and was given an upgrade to the executive floor. Well appointed room and extremely quiet for being next to an airport. Convenient shuttle leaving every 15 minutes that goes to the Airtran terminal (Hotel buses can no longer pick up or drop off at the terminals, so give yourself about an extra half hour trip even though you are only a mile or so away). No, it is not a destination resort, but it serves the purpose and convenience of a traveler.

Area recommendations

This is Newark Airport, you can't leave the property except by cab, private car or hotel shuttle.

“Nice hotel - would definitely stay there again”

Hotel is very nice, with comfortable and well-appointed rooms. Beautiful pool with hot tub and well-equipped gym. Service was excellent, everyone very friendly and accommodating. We brought our dog, and there are lots of grassy areas to walk the dog.

Area recommendations

Ironbound District in Newark - lots of great Portuguese restaurants. About 8 minutes to get there by car. Hoboken - About 10 minutes by car, great shopping, restaurants and waterfront. NYC - 20 minute PATH train ride from Newark Penn Station, right to midtown Manhattan.

Getting there

Airport Shuttle from Newark Liberty every 20 minutes, 24-hours a day A bit tricky to get to by car, but not impossible...just follow your navigation system!

Bathing suit - very nice pool

Dining

OK but expensive restaurant in hotel. I recommend getting in the car and going to either the Ironbound District in Newark, or Hoboken NJ - lots of restaurant options there.

“Not Bad in Newark”

Although the nightly rate for this hotel was higher than others in the airport area, I found it to be a good value. From the welcoming entrance, to the bright and well-maintained public spaces, to the understated but extremely comfortable guestroom decor this hotel is well cared for. From the airport shuttle service, to the efficient check-in/check-out, to the friendly, attentive employees in the restaurant/bar, housekeeping, and concierge service, I felt welcome and well taken care of.

“good for early flights out of EWR”

comfortable, clean and convenient. It's strange when the staff all greet you at a hotel on the Frontage Road, and there's no bulletproof glass at the reception desk.

Getting there

NJ 1/9 north off I-78. From the west, take the ramp but keep right to get to Frontage Rd. From east, go past the 1/9 N ramp and Frontage is its own small ramp next.

“Musty but quiet”

We just stayed overnight. The restaurant/bar closed before midnite and the room had very poor ventilation and the windows did not open - very musty smelling. It was quiet, however.
