Strategically-located hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2014
To be recommended... Soho neighborhood is very nice and on some occasions you do not even need to go uptown, you have every store at the ready in the close-by China Town... Anyways, the Canal Street A, C and E subway station is really a stone's throw away...

Comfort in a perfect location

Posted Jul 21, 2014
After some particularly gruelling travelling we were so thankful for the comfort and efficiency of this hotel. The beds are dreamy, the air conditioning quiet and the water pressure strong! It's located near some of the more interesting bits of lower Manhattan. As with many large chain hotels, It isn't much to look at but the rooms and service are excellent.

Pros: Location close to several subways. Great restaurants and night life in Tribecca
Cons: Bigger closet space
Location: Tribecca was a wonderful area. Very safe area. Great shops, resturants , bars and people watching!!
We had a great time. Breakfast and evening snacks were an added surprise. The staff was helpful and accommodating We will return to this location again this fall if they have openings

Shocking

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Didn't get rooms until 6pm on our day of arrival. We arrived at 10am so the hotel knew we were there. I am an spg goldember and was treated with contempt by the manager will who wouldn't even tell me his surname or give me a card. To top it all the hotel tried to pass a £90 room service charge to me for the room which was made while we waited for it on Monday by the previous occupant. My loyalty will now firmly be with Hilton as a diamond member.

Dear Family of 6, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Great Location!

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The roof top lounge. Amazing views.
We travel to New York a couple times a year for a Mets game and shows. This is the first time we stayed in the Soho area. It was great. We were very close to China town and little Italy. Great food and shopping all within walking distance. We are already planning our next trip and plan to stay at the Sheraton Tribeca again.

OMG stay away!

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: NOTHING! However, staff was nice so I need to say that because it's not their fault. The bartender was great and front desk person was understanding.
Cons: Take 2 rooms and turn them into one.
Location: NOTHING to do near by. This was falsely advertised as Tribeca when in fact it's China Town!!!
I am a New Yorker for life and and have been staying in NYC hotels for 20 years to "get away" from Long Island. I know most hotels and experienced the good and the bad. This was a HORRIBLE experience. We booked it for a long 4th of July weekend and lasted for 12 hours. Here's why... The pictures you see online are NOT what you will get. The photographers did a GREAT job using wide angle lenses. The rooms are so small they are not fit for animals. I had to compress my stomach in order to brush my teeth. The bedrooms are not fit for a Yorkie...yes, that small. Staff was nice however. Location is HORRIBLE. Advertised as Tribeca but it's China Town, NOT Tribeca. Being a New Yorker, shame on me for not looking at the actual address. No parking so good luck with that. I don't mind bad hotels if they are honest with advertising and you "risk" it, but this was pure evil in terms of their false advertising. Book at your own risk. I might sound like a disgruntled guest but if you still choose to book here, you will say "wow, I should of took that review more seriously". Thank you Expedia for letting us out of this hell hole even though we paid for 4 days upfront. We only lasted 12 hours and unfortunately had to pay for one night but at least they refunded the last 3 nights and we went to a normal hotel. Again, book at your own risk!!!!

A good stay.

Pros: Location, clean rooms, big shower, a coffee machine in our room.
Cons: Internet should be included, it is a bit ridiculous in this day and age to charge annoying extras like that.
Location: Chinatown for food, Soho for shopping, Tribeca for drinks, and the subway close by that takes you anywhere in the city.
We were in town for the Fancy Food Show, but we also wanted to see other part of the city. Close to the subway and walking distance to Soho, this hotel is very well located.

Close to subway

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Nice change from midtown. Got to see the September 11 museum which is really close, so close we walked.
Cons: No, all good
Location: Museum for September 11, little italy
Good location and ni e change from times square where we usually stay. But it is expensive to eat and drink in soho so stick to little italy or chinatown where you eat for a good price. Staff were helpful. Good number of computers to use and good coffeeshop in lobby.

Clean hotel but unsatisfactory location

Posted Jun 23, 2014
The hotel was clean and nice. The staff was quite helpful. Me and my friend got up late the day we checked out and we had an early flight to catch. The staff offered us shuttle service (65 USD excluding tips) to the JFK airport. The location was good in terms of the easiness of getting around and accessibility to subway stations. Subway stations were just around the corner. However I'm not quite sure about the safety of surrounding neighborhood.
