“Charming experience in a charming hotel”

Upon check in you are greeted with a glass of champagne! The Lobby Bar is a wonderful place to grab a pre-dinner drink. The location was amazing! Steps to all th chic Soho boutiques as well as China Town and Little Italy. The rooms are small, but that is the case in most rooms in Manhattan. Makre sure to grab brunch at Felixs at Grand and W. Broadway.

Soho, wonderful shopping, great places to eat and not as hectic as the rest of the city

“Fave NYC hotel”

Love everything about the Soho, great location, tons of fun restaurants.... oh, did I mention the complimentary KIR ROYALE when you come into the lobby?

SOHO Grand seems to have weathered the economic downturn well. Great hotel.

“Good hotel, a bit expensive”

We stayed for a weekend and were quite happy with the hotel. The outside bar is very happening and a great place for people watching. As others have mentioned, it's a bit dimly lit but not crazy. The "free" wifi is $10 / day.

“Great location”

I stayed at this hotel with my teenage daughter and it great. I wouldn't recommend it for small children though because the rooms are too small and other than free kid's movies there isn't anything they offer families. The location is perfect for shopping, dining and getting around the city. Two subway lines are a block away and we could even get to JFK quicker(and cheaper)by train than by cab. There is a small market across the street which we utilized often. The hotel food is good, but very expensive.

“Not clean”

The staff was pleasant, but the room's bathroom was not clean. I complained and was moved to another room, but this one also had a dirty bathroom. I ended up forfeiting the cost of one night's stay, and moving to a different hotel. The Expedia staff was very helpful in making this change.

“Very nice hotel with great atmosphere”

Very nice and busy hotel bar. In the summertime you can enjoy cocktails outside in the Yard. Nice location in Soho, close to many restaurants and shops.

“Very Poor Service”

The room was small, but I expected that. We thought we would enjoy the hotel the first afternoon and found the service very disappointing. We sat outside in the area for hotel guests to enjoy which have comfortable chairs and couches. The waiter didn't bring us menus for 20 minutes and when he did take our order we waited an additional 30 minutes and he never came back to serve us. There was only two other couples in the area at the time. We tried to order room service and our phone didn't work, so we had to call with our cell phone. For the price and reputation of the hotel, I was very dissatisfied.
