Close to the action.Posted Mar 15, 2014
Room was very nice, if a little small. I could understand that in NYC. What I could not understand was us having to complain before someone came in and cleaned our room. Besides that, it was a very nice hotel.

Staybridge SuitesPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Aside from the fact that the hotel is clean, there are a lot of freebies that the hotel offers. Free wifi, breakfast, free laundry service.
It was a pleasant experience. Exceeded my expectations. You get your money's worth because the hotel ofgers a lot of freebies you don't see on other hotels that charge the same price.

Not for usPosted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: The staff. Absolutely charming and keen to help
Cons: Don't call this hotel " suites". They're not suites at all
Location: Down the side of Port authority bus terminal, so close to lots of good locations, but not a pleasant place in itself
I stayed in a Staybridge suite in Liverpool England and it was on the basis of that stay that we booked this hotel in New York. However while the ones in Liverpool are actually suites, beautifully appointed with great comfort, the rooms in this hotel in New York are basically bedsits with a kitchen corridor. the whole place looks like the sort of place where Cagney and Lacey might find a dead body, and while the location is very central,, the street down the side of Port authority bus terminal is hardly pleasant. However this was all a matter of personal taste, and I have to say that even though I was incredibly disappointed with the hotel, and we moved out out one night, the staff did all they could to make as comfortable, and facilitated our move with great charm and expediency.

Staying for one weekPosted Mar 13, 2014
Pros: Good location People friendly Large lobby
Cons: Insulation with elevators and neighbors, this hotel needs have a renovation, walls are in sad color, doors to dark (brown). Lights ambiance is sad
Location: This hotel is in a vibrant location. Less than 10 minutes to reach Times Squares and a lot of good restaurants. Many things to do and visit around .
This hotel is in a vibrant location. Less than 10 minutes to reach Times Squares and a lot of good restaurants. We had two bedroom for our daughter and her husband, and one for my wife and I. We were at 25th floor and our bedrooms were close to elevators, and it was a nightmare to heat all times the elevators traffic. Because the building is high about 31 floors, the elevator traffic is intense early on the morning and during the night. Also, the bathroom acoustic insulation with neighbors is like if all people live in the same room. Between electric razor and wc flush noises all was there to live altogether. Room are not very large, but really enough to sleep and have some rest after shopping.

Better Then I Expected!!Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: All of the staff was wonderful, but i have to single out Jaime who was the Bellman. He was very curteous, and helpful, and really cared about us.
Cons: The only issue we had was with the elevators, which I don't think can be improved.
Location: Very good location, Times Square!!!
My Daughter and I needed to stay somewhere that was close to Times Square, affordable, included breakfast, included wifi, and had low parking charges. Staybridge Suites did that and more!!! The beds were very comfortable, the toiletries they provided were very good. I was worried that since my room was across from the elevator, that it would be very noisy, but it wasn't. Breakfast selection was great and very good. It was nice that there was a bar, for a nice place to relax.

Great LocationPosted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Good Location
Location: Within walking distance of several late night drinking establishments and restaurants.
This hotel is located very close to TIme Sqaure and of course in New York within walking distance of most of the attractions or at the least close to the subway to get you there. The staff were very accommodating. The buffet breakfast offered a great variety of choices. Would recommend this hotel for a future stay.

Lovely apartment close to Times SquarePosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Location is fantastic. Free breakfast! You could self-cater as the apartment kitchen is very well stocken. Very polite staff.
Cons: 32 floors and 1 of 3 lifts was out of service... thankfully we were on the 3rd floor so could use the stairs. Shuttle bus from airport would be good.
Location: Pier 83/84 close by for Water Taxi & Manhattan river cruise. Empire State building a few blocks away. Central Park a good 45 min walk down 8th Ave.
I really liked New York. I loved Central Park - we saw Strawberry Fields and the Imagine mosaic near the Dakota Building. The Boathouse in the centre of the park is great after a walk across the Ramble... beer at $12 was a bit steep but lovely interior looking over the frozen lake. Liked the Alice in Wonderland statue. We'd bought the NY Pass at about £100 for 3 days, and got our money's worth in 2 days, taking in Top of the Rock (a must), Empire State Building (ditto), 3 hour cruise around Manhattan island (a bit cold when the sun went in!) and the aircraft carrier Intrepid (entry includes the Growler submarine which you can go round), which now houses the prototype shuttle Enterprise. Price included a water taxi pass (valid all day) which we used to get to the 9/11 Memorial (had a great bar meal at O'Hara's nearby - 2 ate for $45). Liked Central Station - you can get a cheap meal here in art-deco (I think) surroundings underneath the main concourse. SUNAC on W42nd St near 11th Avenue was great for buying ready-cooked meals to heat. Fabulous selection and reasonably priced... also wide-range of groceries, drinks etc. Don't bother with the NY Skyride in Empire State Building. It lasts about 10 minutes... the word I think expresses it best is 'lame'. Don't know when it opened but it's really dated. At $42 I'd only contemplate doing it if you have a NY pass (as then it's free) and you have truly run out of ideas.

Weekend in NYC with two teensPosted Mar 4, 2014
The breakfast was great. The room was pretty spacious by NYC standards. Staff was very friendly especially as I was traveling with one gluten-free teen, They brought her GF bread and more yogurt when there wasn't any left. The only issue - one of the three elevators was under repair and wait times for the elevator were VERY long.

Simply the best of the apartment hotelsPosted Mar 4, 2014
Cons: I would like a larger gym but NYSC fills that spot
Location: Times Square is 5 minutes away
This is not my first stay here. I wonder why I think anywhere else will match it. Great rooms, ideal location, a kitchen you can actually cook in, pleasant and efficient staff, complimentary social and breakfast events which are not an unpleasant free for all (hotels on 53rd St, take note!). The only downside on this trip was one of the elevators was down but even that was handled with style. I will be back

Great hotel, fab breakfast and free evening drinksPosted Mar 2, 2014
Great hotel, but only 2 lifts working during my stay so be prepared to take the stairs. Tuesday - Thursday between 5 and 7pm the hotel have buffet snacks and free beer wines and soft drinks which is awesome.
