Near the action

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast, and wifi that was included with the room, and the friendly staff in all departments.
Cons: At Breakfast on the busy times, between 8am - 9.30am, more tables should be available. if you have Breakfast outside these times you will be ok.
Location: There are plenty of Theatres, Time Square, Pier 84, Broadway, Plenty of Restaurants on 9th Ave.
Check in was easy. Had a nice warm welcome. Included with the price was a Buffet Hot and cold Breakfast and Free internet. Breakfast was nice and plenty of it. The free wifi was excellent. Most hotels charge extra for this. When I go back to New York, I shall definitely be staying here again.

nice location for walking to sites

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: cleanliness, very nice breakfast, friendliness of staff
Cons: we wish there had been an elevator for staff only. We encountered a flight that stopped every few floors with staff getting on and off.
Location: walking distance to pretty much everything. we walked to times square, central park, grand central, theaters, empire state, Madison square garden.
our flight got in early and we were able to register and leave our bags at hotel so we could start our adventure.

Near Times Square

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Designate some rooms pet-free. Saw no pets during 6-day stay. A policy of some pet-free rooms would be unlikely to change vacancy rates negatively.
Location: Times Square NYC. Unlimited things to do. Walking, shopping, tours, museums, etc.
First room was terrible. Lowest floor, handicapped room with a dog smell. Tiny room. Extremely noisy A/C. Moved to better room second of 6 nights. Slightly bigger (I understand all hotels in NYC usually have small rooms so not a surprise), 'quieter' A/C. Bed well-worn and ready for replacement. Staff very helpful and courteous. Evening snacks/drinks quite nice. Breakfast VERY limited and identical all mornings.

nice hotel just off of times square

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: elevators
hotel was nice, staff very nice, but the elevators were terrible! They were very slow with wait times of over 10 minutes. - had to carry our luggage down 8 flights of stairs as we had waited over 10 minutes and still no elevator

The Staybridge suites is a lovely place to stay in Manhattan and ALL staff are very friendly and approachable. In the basement there is a gym and laundry room which I made the most of; when waiting for laundry I would make the most of the gym/fitness centre. I have stayed at the Staybridge suites twice in three years and if I remain to go to New York, I will definitely be going back! The beds are very comfortable and I never had a bad night sleep for the whole 11 nights I was there. We were on the 25th floor and could see the Hudson River from our room. It is very close to Times Square (2 Blocks away), a short walk to Macy's, Madison Square Garden and Empire State Building. There are also some good places to eat Schnipper's (41st/8th) and Shake Shack (44th/8th). You will not be disappointed

Perfect Place to Stay in NYC

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Excellent, friendly staff, perfect location, excellent amenities.
Cons: During busy times, can be a wait for an elevator. If you have patience, this is no big issue at all.
Location: Good subway access. Bus to MetLife Stadium from the Port Authority is right next door if you are staying to catch a game or such there.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms was very clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was decent, though very busy. Still, a great way to start the day in NYC and get moving. Hotel is next to the Port Authority bus station, so excellent access. LOTS of good restaurants, pubs, and cafes around. 5 minute stroll to Times Square proper. Weekly social reception (5-7) was really great too, and really kicked off our mid week stay. Rooms very quiet. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
