Decent hotel, listing information was wrong

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Hotel location was good, clean. We had booked two double beds, but the room had one single and one double. The staff claimed it was an issue with hotels.com (who we hadn't booked through, obviously) and insisted on charging us an extra $20 per night for a cot.

Good Value Hotel

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: It was reasonable value for money and although nothing special, it was clean and well kept.
Cons: The noisy lift - our room was near to the lift & if it had been used a lot at night it would keep you awake. The breakfast room could do to be bigger.
Location: We wanted to stay in Brooklyn to be near the Cruise Terminal, so it was an ideal location. There were plenty of restaurants nearby.
The hotel was near the subway meaning it was easy to get into Manhattan. The room and bed were quite small but quite adequate. The lift was very noisy- I have never heard such a noisy lift. The bed squeaked and the vending machine was also noisy. The bedroom and bathroom were clean & well kept. The breakfast room was very small, with not enough seats for even a portion of the rooms. The continental style breakfast was adequate. There were a lot of good restaurants nearby in Park Slope. Considering we were in New York it was very good value for money.

What my wife and I liked about the hotel was the cleanliness if the place and the pleasant and helpful staff. We especially appreciated the hard surface floors, as we didn't have to fear some gungy germs crawling out of half clean carpets. We'll be back to this hotel next time we're in America.

Clean and convenient given price. The only issue is the small space provided for breakfast as well as the noise coming from the lobby at night.

Close to subway

Posted May 20, 2015
was easy to find right off the highway. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and adequate. One block from the subway making access into NYC easy. Really only in the hotel to sleep but with the restaurants in the area was easy to grab food each night when returned. For the price couldn't beat it. Parking was available for a fee of $20 a day which was also nice.

Good place to lay your head

Posted May 15, 2015
Very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. Location is nearby to many subway lines, so quite convenient for travelling to other parts of Brooklyn or into Manhattan. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a piece of plywood, but the pillows were nice and it's not like you come to New York to sleep, so the bed was fine for the purpose of me getting some shuteye. Also, don't expect a "view" from the hotel room. With all that said, you really can't do much better in terms of the price. If you don't plan on being at your hotel very often and can manage with sleeping on a less-than-comfortable bed, then this is a great place to stay and do NYC on a budget. There are also lots of restaurants and things to do nearby also (Park Slope shopping is nearby in one direction, and excellent Italian restaurants are only a short walk away toward Carroll Gardens).

OK, its not the Ritz.

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: The price was right, The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was clean and met all our needs.
Location: It was close to a sub station, good food near by. People were all very friendly and kind.
It may not be the Ritz, but its not at the Ritz price either. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was simple and clean. Breakfast was simple, but it did the job. It was very close to the subway. We had a great time.

The room was very clean and the staff provided excellent service. The room was a little small but met my needs during this stay. I would stay again.
