Great location, comfortable rooms!Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: The location: convenient to everything and tucked away just enough to feel a little "out of the fray."
Cons: I would recommend a coffee station in the lobby and more ice machines throughout the hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Belvedere. It was conveniently located to all the activities we were interested in: theaters, Times Square, restaurants, and the subway. The room was comfortable and well appointed. It was great to have a mini-fridge as well.

A Hotel Right Next to Times Square in New YorkPosted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Location, and efficiency of the staff.
I stayed there for a stay to participate in a UN conference. The stay there gave me the opportunity to enjoy New York from its heart and the hotel staff made my stay a convenient and comfortable one. I was given a room on the top floor that sees over the river view and the street on the other side. Although the weekend rates are a bit too high, average daily rate over all is reasonable.

Great hotel - close to attractions and subwayPosted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Location ideal - close to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Subway stations Friendly staff
Cons: Speed / waiting time for lifts - the only thing, and that is not really an issue. Double glazed windows to reduce outside noise
Location: Excellent location Close to restaurants, diners Close to Times Square, Theatres, Central Park, Grand Central, Public Library Subway stations close
Family of 4 spent 3 nights here before Easter. To be honest, we only used the hotel as a base for sightseeing, so didn't fully utilise all facilities. Close to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Grand Central Statiion, Chrysler Building ( all walkable), and within 1 or 2 blocks of subway stations for the rest of Manhattan etc. Very comfortable beds. Can be noisy at night - other buildings air con systems, fire station close, and general city noise ( even on 11 th floor), but after a busy day sightseeing, very easy to sleep. Air con used as room did tend to get very warm when sunny. Staff at check in desk very friendly and helpful. Able to use Business Centre free of charge to check in return flight Would recommend as a base for a sightseeing visit to NYC

wanna be on your ownPosted Apr 18, 2014
Cons: consider little things, like a news paper, soap dish, robes for each paying guest
Location: not too much of a walk to main streets/attractions
be careful that you don't arrive early in the morning(6am) (our concern after an all night flight) check in is not until 4pm...cleaning staff begin about 9-10 am...too tired, too many hours to waste, we slept and dozed in the tiny lobby for 4 hours, after strolling for breakfast etc....we were just to exhausted to do more. the hotel staff showed concern re our fatigue and offered us a room after about 5 hours (reasonable)...the room is ok...there is a frig and microwave..no restaurant, bar, gift shop, newspaper, at the hotel, or in room stuff (ok with us , as we rather be out and about...but, you should consider this)...one of the most inconvenient things for us was that there was no soap dish at the sink or shelve in the shower; thus, no where to "plop" soap/ shampoo or the like... you had to hand hold everything...the sink was always wet and messy, and the tub/shower slippery. we used clean up service only once during our sat-thurs stay...oops they did not remove the discarded/empty shampoo, lotion, soap stuffs. we did not use the internet, so, can not vouch for that....if you only want a place to sleep this is okay, but if you want to hang around and do things at the hotel...no, no, no!

Love the neighborhood. Great restaurants closeby. 1 block to subway. Short walk to theaters. Pharmacy 1 block away. Hotel elevators small and slow. Carpet in need of cleaning. .

Great location - very centralPosted Apr 17, 2014
Cons: speed of wi-fi
Location: Visit Patzeria - the food is awesome and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful
We booked an executive double double for our family of 4 (kids aged 15 and 11). Great location. Clean. At first impression thought perhaps was too small for our needs (the beds are small by US comparison in other locations)BUT actually was perfect for our 5 night stay. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again ourselves (probably wouldn't even bother to look for anywhere else). Free Wi-Fi was included with the double executive room but was quite slow, especially when 4 people were trying to access it. Included access to printer in business centre which was a godsend to book attractions and shows on line to get best deal etc. Whilst dining facilities were limited in the hotel, this was not necessary as you are central to a huge number of dining options in central New York.

Excellent location, lovely HotelPosted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel was modern, very clean, brilliantly situated just a few mins from Times Square.
Cons: There is an FDNY fire station near by. So expect to hear a few sirens during the night. We found this an authentic New York experience.
Location: The Hotel is within easy walking distance from Times Square, from here you can jump on the Grey Line buses or the Subway and reach any part of town.
We stayed here for five nights and were very glad we chose the Belvedere.

Older hotel needing updatesPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the door staff was very friendly and helpful. The noon check out time
Cons: Air conditioning / heating available in all rooms. Updated / Painted / Brighter hallways. More vending and ice machines.
Location: Location was great. Times Square, Theatre District, Restaurants/Deli's.
The location of this hotel was good. However, upon check in we were given a room with no air-conditioning, only open windows (warm day in NYC). Only after noticing that other rooms had window air conditioners and requesting one from the front desk, did we receive one. The rooms are quite spacious as compared to other traditional hotel rooms in NYC. The bathroom is small, but clean. The halls are dark and dated and the one and only soda vending machine on the 2nd floor was continually empty. For the nightly rate we paid, we expected a little more class. Also, there was no hotel bar. The door staff was very friendly and helpful.
