Nice Hotel in great location.

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Location. Atmosphere. Convenience.
Cons: Somewhat noisy. Hindered sleep the first night.
Location: Midtown Manhatten. A world of activities nearby: Theaters, restaurants, museums, Lincoln Center, Central Park, Times Square, shopping, etc.
Enjoyed our stay. Hotel is in a great location. Comfortable atmosphere. Complimentary continental breakfast is convenient (though wait staff seemed disorganized). Convenient parking adjacent to hotel.

Exceeded Expectations

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: What a great value it was. We have stayed at many "boutique" hotels and we were quite surprised at the value delivered here.
Cons: Restaurant staff was overwhelmed at 2nd day breakfast.Long wait to be seated, long wait for service, confused service, ran out of food.Inconsistent.
My wife and I were there for a mid Winter long weekend break taking in what the City has to offer. The Blakely is a true gem of a hotel that exceeded expectations in a great area of Manhattan convenient to everything. Just far enough from the Times Square to be spared that zoo but close enough to walk to anything. Our room was quite spacious (for NYC; a comforable King bed; everything was in good state of repair; was immaculately clean; included a kitchenette with frig, microwave, coffee maker, and even dishes and tableware; free inroom wifi. All of the staff was helpful.and friendly. If there is a weakness here, you need to lower your expectations at breakfast. The staff in the Hotel restaurant is at best confused and overwhelmed. Long wait for uncleared tables, confused and aloof hostess, long wait for service, ran out of everything including juice, milk, things were not replensihed. We had the same experience with either the included Continental breakfast on one day and a cooked to order breakfast on another day. Breakfast could use some tweaking.

Warm, Comfortable and Friendly

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the personal service and attention offered by the staff. Unlike other NYC hotels everyone was happy and eager to assist.
Location: Between Ave of the Americas and 5th Ave, just a short walk to Radio City Music Hall, and good food at Lindy's and the Carnegie Deli.
That sums this property up perfectly. From check in, to day of departure the staff was great, the room was well appointed and the location was perfect for my business there.

Good location and quiet.

Pros: Good location. Good value. Helpful staff. Recommended good car service to airport.
Cons: I would install pocket doors in bathroom to create more space. Decor could be freshened up.
Helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom was nice, but very small.

Pros: Very quiet. Small hotel, so little traffic. Cosy lobby. Great location!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Central to many eateries. Close to Carnegie Hall and ALL theaters!!
Second stay at this hotel. Warmly greeted on arrival early in the morning, although our room not ready another immediately found for us. Cheerful staff always ready to offer their help. Great lighting in room and bathroom.
