“Our NYC home away from home”

We feel the Edison is our home away from home when we travel to NYC. Familiar faces of the staff who have been there for many years and the location are hard to beat for the price!

“Amazing retro hotel in center of it all”

This is a wonderful 1920's hotel with a lot of character. Very simple rooms but comfortable. If you are planning to spend your time shopping etc. then I highly recommend the Edison. The location cannot be beat. Walk about half a block and you are in all the Times Square action.

“Great”

Great location. Small rooms and bathrooms. But why are you in your room in NYC? Perfect.

“Edison-not what I expected”

It took about ten minutes for us to check in,I thought it was slow. Otherwise the hotel was great. We could actually move around in the room. Bathroom was large enough for one. The room had been recently renovated, so it was really clean and comfortable. The view was the top of neighboring building. My wife and I do not go to NY to sit in the room. We are out seeing and enjoying NY, the theaters, museums, times square, central park and the people. The location of the hotel is ideal for that purpose. I would stay there again. The Rum House Bar was very convenient for cocktails and a late night drink before bed also. We had a wonderful time.

“Just Excellent”

I booked at Edison for a last minute pleasure trip with my wife and we just considered the great rate for those days. We could not believe when we arrived, excellent location (30 steps from Times square), our room asignment was quickly, and finally, an excellent room....clean, quiet, what else you need from an hotel... Great hotel perfect location, clean and tidy. Rooms are huge, staff are helpful and not 1 complaint will be returning.

“Great value TImes Square Hotel”

I've stayed at the Edison many times over the years. It's a great choice for a more budget minder traveler. The rooms are nice sized and clean and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. If you are in NY for the theatre the location is perfect. I plan on staying in the future.

Very nice staff and hotel. It is convientely located to Times Square and surrounding theatres. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

“Great location, so-so interior”

This is an amazing location - 2 buildings from the top of Time Square. Great area, lots to do, easy to walk to anything, subway- food, theater - great. The hotel is very basic. If your looking for 4 stars not this. But with the location you won't spend much time in your room so does it really matter? The beds are firm but they do have thin pillows (which can be hard to find at any level of hotel). Bathrooms are vintage- original tubs, old sinks,new tile. Nice little bar on the first floor with character. Again, you stay here for location not the actual room. Will definitely stay again for location alone.
