“Reasonable hotel in a great location”
This hotel is not fancy by any means, but the location is great. Safe neighborhood. Not a great mattress and the room is run down, but it was acceptable. Good price for a hotel in the Upper East SIde.
“BAD CUSTUMER SERVICE”
At least is clean, but the service to custumer is really bad. They don't know how to attend people well, they are not kind.
“This is my worst stay ever in a Hotel”
When we arrived to the hotel on our first day, there was no one to receive us.The front door was closed and we had to call to a cell phone number to get instructions to open de door (It had a key code), once inside we figured out that we had to find a key room. Finally, we found the key inside a cabinet at the end of the corridor.The place itself is pretty shabby and dirty. So shabby it's kind of hard to tell what's shabby and what's dirty. There were dust under our dresser and under our bed, it seems be to that they have never cleaned this room. We didn't really want to go into the bathroom without shoes everywhere. The Bathtub had a lot of mold everywhere, it was a mess. The kitchenette was dumpy and the cabinets had drips down the front that were never cleaned. The desk is staffed from 7 am - 6 pm (supposedly, a lot of the time no one was around during posted office hours), but if you expect that going in it's not that big of a deal. And the staff we did encounter were nice. Breakfast is "continental," and they bring it to your room. Options are below of standard, like Yoplait yogurt, bagel, or bread. They were always requesting a apologies everyday because they didn´t have Yogurt, juice or Croissant. It's a very old building with mismatched furnishings that have seen better days. They need new beds, definitely. They're not comfy. I might not stay here again, definitely. I will investigate better options in my next travel to New York;
“Very Nice Place”
Was mis represented on location Was told two blocks from the subway actually was eight blocks
“Quiet, bare-bones Manhattan hotel”
Wonderful neighborhood. Pleasant staff. Finding an affordable hotel in Manhattan is almost impossible! The Gracie Inn is best for people who are mostly out and about, people who only need a quiet place to sleep and bathe. Rooms are small and in need of paint (mine seemed a little delapidated.) The kitchenette needed some attending--defrosting the freezer, for example. I wish there was a larger desk or table in the room for me to spread out books and papers and dishes. If the nightly rate was a hundred dollars cheaper, I'd be more enthusiastic about recommending the Gracie Inn.

Area:
Upper East Side, New York, United States of America: Of all the superlatives used to describe the Upper East Side, one word is apt: richest. Some of the citys wealthiest residents live in the high rises that line Fifth Avenue. Be prepared to spend an entire day at the Museum of Metropolitan Art. Both a physical and art-world behemoth, the Met is home to several masterworks, from an intact ancient Nubian temple to post-modern color studies.
