Fantastic location

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: This Hotel is great to come back to after a long day walking around the city, it has a wonderful lounge area to relax in.
Cons: The doormen need to be more aware of guests arriving, in the week I was there I saw many guests having to carry their own bags down all the stairs.
Location: Location! Location! Location!, there are so many restaurants, bars, cafes, parks just an easy walk around the corner.
The Jade Hotel is located in a great part of NYC in Greenwich Village.

Beautiful accommodation

Pros: Location, hotel furnishings and room, staff, everything!!
The jade hotel is a beautiful boutique style hotel. Had a great mood about it with beautiful furnishings. Double bed room is a comfortable size, fairly small but enough room for bags etc. amazing view especially if your around the 16th floor, facing the financial district. Very polite and helpful staff, amazing restaurant, great location. Overall loved this hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay around the Greenwich village/ soho area. Close to caf├ęs, parks, flat iron building etc. easy to get around with taxis driving through the street frequently. Had a great time and wish we could of stayed longer!

Right where I wanted to be

Posted Dec 17, 2013
Was in town for a party in the East Village and wanted to stay overnight so we could REALLY enjoy ourselves (the ex-wife and me....long story). What a great place. Got a small room which was "lovely", my ex's word. Very clean, very comfortable beds, staff was fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us. Had a group in for brunch in the attached restaurant and everyone raved about the food and service. Will be going back to the Jade the next time I have to stay in town.

Great location in the West Village.

Pros: The staff and location.
Cons: Have a N espresso machine in the room, so that you could make a coffee as soon as you wake up.
Location: The Jade is within walking distance of great cafes, restaurants, and shops.
We wanted to try a smaller hotel and The Jade definitely was the right choice. When our taxi drove up to the hotel I loved the beautiful and quaint exterior. The staff was friendly and warm from the moment we arrived. The room was small and cozy. We will certainly will be returning to The Jade Hotel!

Cozy with five star service

Posted Jun 8, 2013
This hotel is tucked away in Greenwich Village on a street that isn't a busy commercial strip. There are brownstones and residences surrounding it, and the New School is directly across the street. Although the room was small, it wasn't uncomfortable. We loved the intimacy of this small hotel -- there were only five rooms total (including ours) on the whole floor. The lounge/reception area is cozy, too, with a fireplace, reading materials, and the London Times newspaper. The front desk staff and bell people were terrific and helpful with directions. We were visiting Columbia and NYU, and the hotel was willing to hold our bags for half the day even after we had checked out.

Great hotel for a getaway.

Pros: My favorite thing was the friendly atmosphere and excellent service.
Cons: Nothing. I had a wonderful experience.
Location: So close to 5th avenue. Union Square had lots going on. Easy walk to Soho. Neat places to eat close by. Felt very comfortable in the area.
FRIENDLY! Someone always greeted you. Most often someone opened the front door for you. Room was clean, quiet (stayed on top floor), bed was comfortable with lots of nice pillows. Really cool atmosphere. Very accommodating. It's new, and it was great.

Gem in Greenwich Village

Posted May 5, 2013
Pros: Location, friendly staff and quality of fit-out.
Cons: -
Location: Location, Location, Location. Easy stroll to West Village cafe's, Bleeker St, Greenwich Village. Subway on the next block. Loved it.
Great hotel in fantastic location, away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square but close to the subway so very quick to get around Manhattan. Loved the proximity to all the West Village cafes and shopping on Bleeker Street. The staff went out of their way at every opportunity to ensure all our needs/wants were met, efficiently and with minimum fuss. David helped us to book Yankees tickets and went above and beyond to ensure we had great seats and a true Yankees experience. Our room was on a high floor, there was no street noise at all. Overall, a fantastic hotel in NY, I will definitely be back.
