“The Jewel”
The rooms are small, but what do you expect for New York. The staff was friendly, rooms clean, area was quiet, and it was in an excellent location. I would stay here again on another trip to New York, I really enjoyed this hotel.
“Amazing hotel - Amazing location”
The hotel was fabulous from check-in to check-out, both of which were quick, easy and self-service. Upon arrival, my bf and I dicovered that we had one of the terrace rooms which was a definite plus. Everything in the hotel worked perfectly: the AC was nice and cool, which was important since we went early July, the room always smelled clean, no tobacco odors that we had read about at other hotels, and staff were all exceedingly friendly! One of our favorite features was the purified chilled water found on every floor. Just fill up a couple of bottles, throw them in your backpack and go explore NY without having to spend any excess money for water. Aside from the hotel, we could not envision a more perfect location in NY. Rockefeller center is beautiful, clean, buzzing with activity and happy tourists, and very safe. The hotel was within walking distance of almost any attraction in NY, and if not, then the nearby subways could certainly get you anywhere. Needless to say, we had an amazing time in NY and an amazing time at the Jewel. We will definitely be staying there again! Strongly recommend!!
“Cute Hotel in Great Location”
The Jewel is a great new hotel right near Rockefeller Center. The location is great, lots of stuff right near by, plus close to a couple subway stops. Given that this is NYC the room didn't feel nearly as tiny as I was expecting. Not a whole lot of room around the bed to walk around, but it did have a little sitting area which was nice. Bed was very comfortable. The overall look of the place was really stylish. We really liked the filtered water and bottles stations on each floor, very nice touch. The fitness center is definitely on the small side, but other than that everything met or exceeded our expectations.
“Fantastic Location”
Perfect location in the city. Close to Times Square, 5th Avenue, and much more. Balconies are available on the 11th floor. Great hotel.
“THE BEST!! Stay here!”
Location! Location! This place is great! Clean, comfortable, friendly and quiet! I was concerned that it would be noisey, considering how close we were to everything (literally across the street from Rockefeller Center) but it was not bad at all! ONLY suggestion for hotel, put fans in the bathroom. The price was great too! Very close to subway stations and we could see St Patrick's Cathedral from our room! I would definitely stay there again! You will not be disappointed, I swear!
“Truly a Jewel!!!!”
Absolutely more than I ever imagined it would be. I planned a last minute girls trip for my teen daughter and I. Safety & comfort was a major concern for me and the Jewel offered both. Each floor can only be accessed by a room card. The greeting at the door is always welcoming, the chilled water available on each floor, all these things made it absolutely perfect for us. The location is amazing, just far enough from the buzz, but also close enough to jump in the middle of things if you want. The privileges extended to Jewel guests at the Terrace Club next door are just icing on the cake. The managers of the Jewell have chosen the perfect staff to make this hotel work as it should.
“Great location!”
The Jewel is very modern, and the location couldn't be any better. Just steps away from Rockafeller Center and Radio city Music Hall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!
“The Name Says It All”
The Jewel is priceless!
“Great overnight stay in the heart of midtown.”
Small hotel, but great amenities/location for business travelers.
“Will definitely stay there again.”
We stayed at Jewel three days after it opened and they were working out some of the glitches but we had a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very nice and big (by mid-town Manhattan standards) and you truly cannot beat the location. The hotel has a partnership with a Club Quarters hotel next door providing access to a restaurant and room service. It also has "swing space" or a living room in the hotel to stretch out and for a change of scenery (great for business travelers working in a group who don't like to work in each other's room) We stayed there with kids and had a very positive experience.
