birthday treat to new york!Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: clean. friendly and helpful staff
Location: within walking distance of all major attractions, ie empire state, rockerfeller centre. lots of lovely bistros nearby.
had a fantastic trip to New York, booked through expedia. everything went smoothly, the only hold up was a rather grumpy driver on the airport transfer bus who turned up late on our arrival. otherwise all arrangements went without a hitch. the hotel was great, beautifully clean rooms. attentive staff without being overbearing. everyone very friendly. they also upgraded our room without any extra payment. the photos do not do it justice. the roof top bar is stylish and smart with fantastic views. i was slightly nervous about booking everything on line but delighted that it all worked! thankyou expedia.

Good locationPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location for subway and central area is good.
Cons: Bathrooms need updating.
Location: Central. Diner next door served most residents not wanting to spend $29 on a buffet. Good, friendly service. T
Hotel rooms are good size for Manhatten. Reception and door staff superb. Rooftop staff unfortunately not of same standard - waited 20 minutes due to corporate event to try and get served (cocktails $18) to no avail. Felt really let down.

Quite a find in NYCPosted Oct 10, 2014
Cons: It would be nice to have mirrors in the bedrooms. Paper towels in the kitchen would be nice, too.
Location: Great location. Near Rockefellow center, Grand Central, St Patricks, and Saks. Great shopping and restaurants.
This hotel was perfect for our girls' trip to NYC. It had everything we needed. The suite had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room dining area and small kitchen. Everything was really nice and comfortable. It even had 4 closets! We could all be together and have plenty of room, and we could sit at the table to snack and talk. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We even had snacks on the penthouse patio every afternoon. We definitely plan to return for our next girls' trip. Best place we've found.

Family vacationPosted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Location. Rooms.
Cons: Valet service to run more often. Breakfast offered.
Location: A few blocks away from Times Square. Across the street from the Waldorf-Astoria
PROs: Easy check-in. Valet and doorman were really helpful. Great location. Clean hotel. Good size rooms. I would stay there again. CONs: Having to leave your car for a valet to park a few blocks away was not very convenient. Our room face another building. No breakfast.

Elegant yet HomeyPosted Sep 29, 2014
Cons: Have ice machines on floors so I do not have to keep calling down for ice.
Location: It is very close to great shopping on Fifth Ave and Madison plus it is close to wonderful restaurants.
This is my sixth or seventh stay at the Kimberly and it is still the best Hotel in New York! From check in until you leave they cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable. I am sorry, but I cannot remember the valet who welcomes you upon arrival but he is the BEST!!!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: The rooftop bar was very hip, good cocktails and food, wonderful staff! The concierge was a hit helping us pick a restaurant for lunch and dinner.
Location: It is so centrally located. We walked to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway, and shopping on 5th Avenue. Great restaurants close by.
I travel a lot (9 countries plus numerous U.S. trips in the last 18 months). This place is great. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was HUGE - granted it was a suite, but a great value for the money.
