Pros: The concept of a library hotel based on the Dewey system.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Central. Within walking distance of most major sites. Bus right at the corner.
Excellent hotel. Attentive staff, very clean. Central location. A pleasure to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

Excellent position in mid town Manhattan .Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The Reading Room was a haven of peace and quiet from the 'City that Never Sleeps'
Location: Times Square 400 yds,Central Station 100yds,Park Avenue 100yds.Walk to the Moma 20 mins. The Broadway Theatres in easy walking distance.
The staff were outstanding and the hotel was excellent in every way.The included breakfast was very welcome and the evening complementary cheese and wine was extremely generous.(A UK couple became embarrassingly drunk one evening) We are able to thoroughly recommend the hotel

Central location in Midtown NYCPosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Staff were fantastic.
Cons: A lounge area or reading room with some comfy chairs/sofas aswell as the dining room style furniture in there currently.
Location: Excellent location in Mid Town. Near Empire State Building, Grand Central, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller, Times Square Central Park in walking distance.
Hotel is very good, staff couldn't do enough to help. Excellent customer service. My only criticism is the room was very small for the price - and although the reading room is a great facility there isn't a lounge area ie comfy seats to sit on ( reading room is quite canteen like in layout & table style) which there is in most 4* hotels. But we had a great stay & the hotel is comfortable and clean. Great location for Mid town NYC.

A fabulous hotel in excellent locationPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Service, location, ambience.
Cons: Occasionally lifts were laboriously slow but not a big problem.
Location: The hotel was excellently placed in Manhattan. Walking distance from Grand Central, MOMA, Saks 5th Avenue, Times square, Central Park....and more!
This hotel was exceptional in both service and comfort. We knew that the room would be quite small but this did not detract from the comfort. Service throughout our stay was superb and staff could not do enough for us. The location was very good, being on Madison and lots of places within easy reach.

Stellar!Posted Oct 6, 2014
Location: The Library Hotel is perfectly located for midtown activities and for catching the subway in any direction. Only 20 minutes to 34th street shopping!
As we anticipated from our first stay (2002), checking into The Library Hotel was like coming home. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the room beautifully appointed, the hospitality second to none, and the location absolutely perfect. Only five minutes to Grand Central Station and less than 15 to Times Square. We particularly enjoyed relaxing mornings over the complimentary breakfast and the ample "chilling out" areas on the 14th floor. We wouldn't change a thing - except stay longer. Thank you, Library Hotel, for an amazing trip to The Big Apple!

A gem of a hotel in the heart of New YorkPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything was to like. It felt like coming home after busy days sightseeing
Cons: We were truly happy with everything
Location: It is perfect for exploring as next to Grand Central Station. It was easy to get about. Times Square, Empire Estate Building, theatre all 10 min walks
Fantastic hotel in mid town New York. Had a suite and it was perfect. The signature of the hotel is books and this is a great theme carried on throughout; it certainly adds to the character. Excellent breakfast and cheese and wine in the afternoon all included. Bed amazingly comfortable. Staff could not have been friendlier or more accomodating

Small hotel ideally located in heart of ManhattanPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Location, facilities, staff
Location: Within easy walking distance of tourist attractions/ museums and shops. Round the corner from Grand Central Station
Greatly enjoyed our stay. Friendly and helpful staff and good facilities within the hotel. As other Expedia travellers have noted, the bedrooms are quite small and we thus upgraded to a queen sized room. Even then, not a great deal of space but enough for tourists like us. Breakfast, tho simple, was good quality and plentiful. Early evening cheese and wine was an enjoyable way to end the day/begin the evening. Would definitely go back to this hotel.
