Comfortable hotel close to the heart of NYCPosted Oct 17, 2014
Friendly staff always willing to help One of main lifts out of service which meant long wait in mornings but if queues became to long on ground floor we were directed to service lift Rooms comfortable and spacious and surprisingly quiet as over looking 7th avenue Old fashioned decor but that's what gave it it's charm

disappointing roomPosted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location, everything in the hotel but the rooms, small, dark, depressing.
Cons: Lighting and decor in the rooms
Location: The hop on hop off bus is the best thing, you can get off and on at any point and enjoy the area.
I was very disappointed in the room that I received, the view was of a brick building, the room it self was dark and very dreary. The air conditioning had to be turned off by maintenance, it was so cold in the room. The bathroom shade would not go up and when housekeeping came in did not fix it. There was not enough light in the room we had to ask for more lamps. The beds were great, the service was great, but unless you change the lighting in the rooms I can not return, it was very depressing.

The Manhattan Times squarePosted Oct 16, 2014
Cons: All of the hotel
Location: Great location with many options on what to see and do.
For the location you would expect a hotel which is organised and up to date. On arrival at night there is no valet, waiting lines to reception, although when you do reach the desk they are receptive, lobby looks like a station waiting hall, lifts are being altered but slow and even the new ones look as if they have only received a change of wall cladding, the hallways and rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and decoration. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom again was old, the bath fills up with water when you shower. Overall I when I return to New York I will choose an alternative location to stay.

Great location!Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Location and great value for a reasonable price.
Location: Right by Times Square and Broadway shows and Museum of Modern Art. Easy walk to Central Park. Close to subway.
So close to so much! Easy walk to Broadway shows and Museum of Modern Art. Our room was noisy the first night due to construction outside, but the staff willingly switched us to another room that was quiet.

Great hotel close to broadwayPosted Oct 14, 2014
Had a very nice stay at hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Only negative was long waits for elevators. Management has sign posted about elevators but was still slightly annoying

Hotel ServicesPosted Oct 14, 2014
This hotel does not have much in the way of services. No room service. Just a "coffee bar" that operates in the AM. Hotel Manager was friendly, the Conceirge on duty Friday was of no help at all. Bell men were polite and helpful. Hotel could use a make over. Good value for a stay in a high priced neighborhood.

Good location, so-so roomPosted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Bathroom, floors and walls, slow elevators.
Location: A few blocks from Times Square and MoMA.
Deceivingly nice hotel lobby. Elevators very slow--took almost 10 minutes to get to and from room. Room had not been updated in awhile. Bed was very comfortable, but bathroom- ugh. Peeling wallpaper and floors did not look very clean. Location was good, which was primary concern since don't spend much time in the room anyway. I would probably try to find an alternative hotel in the future, but it worked for me and my bf for the $$.

Pros: Location & Beds....
Cons: lift services
Location: so near everything, Rockerfeller Centre, Broadway, Subway, 5th Avenue, Central Park.
great hotel, friendly helpful staff & lovely beds! only the queuing for lifts & squashy inside was the only negative thing but guests made the experience fun still. would recommend.

Short stay for ConferencePosted Oct 10, 2014
Cons: Condition of hotel.
Location: Right by Times Square. Everything walking distance.
Check-in was great... but hotel is outdated. Windows are really dirty, making it unpleasant to enjoy your view. Walls are to thin, as you can hear housekeeping/other workers banging their carts and talking loud all night long. For the same price you may stay at a nicer hotel in the same general area. Do your homework before you buy.
