Great Hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Absolutely everything, very friendly helpful Staff, modern posh Hotel but reasonable Price .
Cons: Wireless in the Rom , nothing else
Location: There s lots of Bars, and Pubs near by where the Locals hang out, and lots of places to eat , only 3 Blocks away from Madison Sqare Park / Flatiron,
We were extremely surprised by this lovely Hotel in Gramercy Park Neighbourhood, because the Room price was reasonable but the Hotel had a expensive feel once you stepped in the Lobby. We had a great Room on the 6. floor with big Windows, very comfortable Kingsize Bed and best Pillows we ever had. This Hotel has a Roof terrace on Level 10 with free Coffe , Theas and wireless and lovely views over the City, outside there are Sunloungers as well as Table and Chairs to enjoy the Views ( Empire ) ect. Lots of great Bars around and only 5 min. walk to Madison Sqaere Park / Flatiron.

Average Hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: It ws average - lots of transport options available (bus/subway etc)
Cons: New towels, free wifi, Better tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary water,
Location: Shake Shack, Eataly, Madison Square Gardens, lots of transport options.
I wasnt overly keen on this hotel. I felt like there were a few things that could be done to make it better and it doesnt cost a lot! Ie new towels! I had towels which were discoloured, thin and with tears in them. Also, 1 additional towel would have been good, they only provided 2. The room air-conditioner was extremely loud and dripped water on the carpet which caused a musty smell. I kept mine switched off at night due to the noise, but could still hear the next rooms, so didnt make much difference. Most hotels provide a complimentary bottle of water each day, but to charge $7 is ridiculous. Small rooms, but I guess thats what you get in NYC. Given I stayed there for 11 nights, a room upgrade would have been nice! I went to look at the coffee/tea making facilities the bench was covered in ants and you couldnt make a cup of tea. $10 a day for wifi is a joke.

albergo decisamente scarso

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: niente

Shoebox sized room

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: not a bad location.
Warning -- the 'standard' room is nothing but a converted closet. We booked the standard rate special thinking, based on their description, it might actually accommodate two people and their luggage. The actual room was so small we filled the entire free space apart from the double bed when we tried to move us and two roller bags in. Not even a closet to hang clothes. Staff used this as an opportunity to up-sell us on a more expensive room that actually had a closet and enough space to turn around without bumping into each other. I know New York hotel rooms are not generally spacious, and our expectations were not high -- but it was deceptive to market their standard room as anything more than a modified closet. We stayed at the hotel for four nights because I had prepaid, and chose to pay the extra $50 per night to avoid having to search for new place to stay late at night after our arrival. Left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I won't stay there again.

Small & cozy hotel on a nice street in Gramercy.

Posted Jun 8, 2015
I stayed for 4 nights while moving my daughter to NYC. It was very convenient to her apartment and lots of delicious restaurants. We had a sleek and comfortable room. It was nice to have free WiFi, free coffee all day, and a continental breakfast that was available (for a small fee) in the guest lounge. The staff was very nice and helpful. They allowed us to ship several things for my daughter's apartment to the hotel before our arrival. I will definitely stay here again when I go visit NYC.

Loved the hotel and staff. Would like a little more water pressure in the shower.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Small rooms, loud old and non functioning ACs, no restaurant, no airing or ventilation, multiple guests were agitated during my stay and the staff did pretty much nothing but apologize.

Would stay here again

Posted Jun 1, 2015
We stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon and would recommend the hotel. Hotels in NY are really expensive so this was a nice hotel for the price and location, which is still relatively central (10min walk to Flatiron, and there are a couple of subway stops close by). Pros: The bed was massive and very comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly and really helpful with any questions we had. Cons: The air con unit was quite noisy and could only seem to go on full blast on the bed (the side I was sleeping on) or off. Food tips: Blue Smoke (amazing chicken and biscuits) and Rocky Slims (huge pizza by the slice) are just round the corner. There's also a huge Italian food emporium, Eataly, just next to Flatiron which does great gelato.

Nice people

The room was very clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The door man was excellent. The size of the room was very small. Hotel 6 has bigger rooms. The lounge is good. Nice view of the Empire State Building. First time to New York.
