Lousy room without a decent window for light

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Location for the theater
Cons: The rooms.
The hotel used to be top notch. I always enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the lobby. Now the comp breakfast is in the basement in a dark, dreary room. The room was dark and had the smallest window in a far corner which brought in no light. I could not stand to be in the room. The location is great for the theater but I can't say I would rush back to the Michelangelo.

European Charm in midst of Manhattan

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location, attentiveness of all staff.
Cons: Only area of concern is the size of the breakfast area which is rather small.
Location: Walking distance to Bradway theatres, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and many great restaurants and nightclubs.
The hotel offers many amenities, from the soaps and shampoos in the rooms to the free breakfast which is included in the room rate. The hotel decor is very pleasing with special details in the designs in all areas. Staff was exceptional, helpful at all times. The hotel is located only a few blocks from Times Square and an easy walk to all Broadway theatres. We never needed a cab to get to the attractions of the city.

Hotel is very central so great for getting around, sightseeing and theatres etc. I think we had a upgrade as the room was much more spacious than we had expected, and the bed was extremely comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offered a complimentary continental breakfast which was a nice extra, but the breakfast room was very small for the number of people staying and the food tended to disappear quite early.

Close to all the action - but quiet!

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Looking for elegant spacious accommodation in the heart of the theatre district? I highly recommend the Michelangelo. Just a block from radio city music hall and two from Rockefeller center. Our room was huge by midtown standards with two king beds, a dressing room, soaker tub and two chairs. The staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Free cold breakfast. The Michelangelo reminds me of fine hotels in Europe. I highly recommend it.

Great Location!

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Many things, but the Hotel Staff was one of the best we have experienced.
Location: Walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and some of the best restaurants in the city, including: Del Frisco's Steakhouse
My wife and I just stayed at The Michelangelo this weekend for our 41st Wedding Anniversary...besides the great location in Midtown, I wanted to tell everyone about the wonderful staff, they could not have been nicer and more accommodating...everyone made our trip special, but I did want to point out two very special people: Norma Tabora at the front desk and Christopher, did not get his last name, one of the very helpful Bellman. When planning your next trip to NYC, give The Michelangelo a try, I think you'll like it! Rex Ledo, Tampa, FL.

Hotel Staff Went Above and Beyond

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Location: Great location - near Times Square, Broadway and Central Park. Also close to Rockefeller Center and lots of good shopping.
We have stayed at the Michelangelo several times before, but this time it just seemed that the hotel staff went above and beyond to be helpful. When we had a problem with room service, the manager called and resolved the problem without us even having to complain. Also, when our flight home was cancelled, the staff went our of their way to find us a room and help us get everything we needed since our luggage was lost somewhere at the airport. In addition, everyone in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
