Series of unfortunate events

Posted May 20, 2015
The porter broke something I had purchased earlier in the trip while loading our bags from the car into the hotel room. my parents visited us in the room and asked for the front desk to call a cab and they said "Just go to Broadway and stick your arm out." Our air conditioner was not cooling the room so they brought a portable unit upstairs and that actually cooled the room very well. The hotel is within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to do so that was wonderful. Then we were woken up by construction early in the morning. As we were checking out with our 2 year old daughter, the (same) porter regaled us with a story of a brick falling off a building and killing a 2 year old girl. So moral of the story: avoid all staff members and your stay will be pleasant.

Posted May 9, 2015

Nice hotel, great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Our umbrella went missing from our room
Location: Close to subway. Nat History & Historical Society Museums blks away. Love Shake Shack, Jacque Torres and Grandaisy bakery.
Great location with many of the places we frequent nearby. Metro Subway line 1,2,3 is 3 blocks away. The accommodations were nice, with a comfortable bed and we even had room for a roll away bed when we had an extra guest one night. We appreciated having the kitchenette, and it was nice to pick up some fruit or yogurt from the complimentary breakfast as we headed out the door.
