Great value and neighborhood

Two room suites are hard to come by in NYC, but here it is no problem and doesn't break the bank. There are a lot of great restaurants and it is walking distance from the American Museum of Natural History. Great family place.

Recent stay in New York

Fantastic hotel staff and great location. The morning breakfast is quite limited though and ran out on one of the mornings, half an hour before closing time. I would still recommend it because of the convenient location and the fantastic staff who were always willing to help and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Surprisingly quiet, pleasant and great location!

Pros: Great value for money. Great location Comfortable clean & spacious rooms. Continental breakfast offering fresh fruit, cereals & breads
Cons: Hardly a thing, Maybe more variety of fresh fruit at breakfast.
Wonderful helpful, quietly professional staff. The hotel was well situated just four blocks from 72nd St. where the subway and bus stops are. There are two amazing markets open 24 x 7 closeby selling everything from organic produce to prepared hot dinners to take away. AThe hotel is within easy walking distance to Central Park, Museums etc.

Excellent Choice!

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Clean, spacious, price, close to everything!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Many, many restaurants, stores, central park was two blocks away...
We recently traveled to NYC to spend a long weekend for my brother's birthday. We found the hotel to be absolutely wonderful! It was close in proximity to the subway and many restaurants and activities on the upper west side. Clean, friendly staff, rooms were spacious and well kept. We would gladly stay again-anytime!!

The Milburn

An exhaust fan and more shelving in the bathroom and it would be perfect for the price. The location was perfect and neighborhood offered everything we needed. Breakfast and kitchenette added to the experience.

Friendly, large rooms

Posted Jun 23, 2014
We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Room was larger than other hotels in area. We had a small refrigerator & microwave plus small table & chairs. Free breakfast was provided. They were quick to provide a small bed for our four year old granddaughter who wanted to spend the night with us. I will stay there again on our next visit to NY.

Exceeded our expectations

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: staff was very nice, iron is in your closet, breakfast is a great start to the day.
Location: on 76th St, upper west side of Central Park, within a block of Broadway -- subway stop at 72nd and 79th, shops/eats very close
Comfortable, clean, and welcoming staff from registration desk to maids and breakfast coordinator. Within several blocks of the 1, 2, & 3 subway lines, and lots of coffee, eats, and shopping are to be had on Broadway, just a block away. This is an older building, but the A/C units were effective, and our room had a little closet-like area with sink, small fridge, and microwave. If you're out sightseeing or at meetings, this is very comfortable. Breakfast exceeded our expectations -- billed as a "continental" breakfast, we had fruit, yoghurt, and hard-boiled eggs, not just breads and sweets. I'd go there again on my NYC trips, for fun or for business.
