Added spice to a fun weekend.Posted Mar 4, 2014
Location: Short walk to Broadway and Central Park
Modest lobby and room size offset by fun atmosphere, pleasant modern design, and engaging staff. Would stay again due to great location.

Great location - excellent value boutique hotel!Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, hot water at all times, comfy bed and free tea/coffee 24-7
Cons: Late check out room would be good or reduced room rate for additional half day stay
Location: 5th Avenue shops 3 blocks away, The London Hotel for cocktails one block away, 11Maddison Square for the dining experience of youlifetime (cab ride)
Lovely staff, location close to everything, clean room with great shower and lots of hot water! Bed very comfy too with good pillows (very important and often of poor quality in other hotels). Nice touch is the guests lounge which is open 24-7 with tea, coffee etc available whenever you want it plus pastries and cake in the morning - all included! Would recommend a stay here - we will be back!

Fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of the city!Posted Feb 27, 2014
Had a great stay, arrived early on a Sunday morning after taking a red eye flight into New York and our room was available when we arrived, which gave us time to rest and really enjoy the city that afternoon.

Great quick trip to NYCPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Neat decor, friendly staff
Cons: We weren't overly impressed with the light bkfst, were told there would be coffee cake & fresh fruit, found a bowl of apples. Not what I expected.
Location: Soup Man is a few doors down, McGees pub across the street is where How I Met Your Mother is filmed, Crumbs Bakery has great cupcakes
We had a great experience here. The staff were the best part. From the moment we arrived they were overly accommodating, including providing directions for getting a cupcake at 10pm on a Saturday night. Comfy bed, quiet, overall very pleasant experience. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel overallPosted Feb 17, 2014
Our hotel room was small, but upgraded and was perfect for us to just relax after a long day in the city. The bathroom was also very nice. Bed was a little hard, but other than that it was an overall nice stay. Quiet hotel and nice complementary drinks on the second floor. Also, we only paid $25 for parking for 24 hours, which was great! Robbie, the receptionist was over the top helpful with everything. He went above and beyond making sure we were enjoying our stay!

Great budget boutique hotelPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: We liked the slightly bonkers decor straight away! The Moderne suited us completely. Complimentary cake for breakfast - great idea!
Cons: There was a slight glitch with the mains electric - plugging two appliances (eg hairdryer and travel kettle) into one double socket tripped the switch
Location: ACE location for the summit we were attending at The Hilton (glad we chose to STAY at The Moderne though!) Also really handy for Central Park.
We stayed at The Moderne on business, attending the annual Kidscreen summit held at The Hilton. The Moderne was an easy ten minute walk away, a perfect location and great place to 'decompress' after the full-on intensity of a hectic schedule. We loved that The Moderne felt like home from home. It was actually peaceful (Quiet?!!! In New York?!!!) and the bed was super-comfy. The staff were great. Robbi The Concierge deserves a special mention for being so friendly, welcoming and making our stay as pleasant, fun and comfortable as possible.

Superior LocationPosted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Location, size and price.
Location: All major theaters and tkts are within five minutes walking distance...Dave Letterman show is one block away...great inexpensive food nearby...
Moderne is an Outstanding Boutique Hotel.Everything about the hotel is charming and inviting. The King Room is a bit undersized for the bed so we kept slamming our foot on the corner of the bed.Other than that , we Loved the bathroom, coffee room, room service, staff, location and sleeping comfort of the bed. Cable TV, Internet access and heat / ac were perfect. We took a chance on a new hotel experience and Loved ALL aspects of this small luxury hotel.
