Excellent!

The staff is very friendly and ready to help you with any special requests. The location is AWESOME! Everything I wanted to do was in walking distance- Central Park, Time Square, Broadway, Lincoln Square. Parking is right next door and the hotel will hold your bags after you check out so you don't need to leave right away! Very, very happy with the hotel and the staff. I will definitely be going back in the future!

Great staff, sufficient for NY visit

This is great location. Rooms are small and basic but that's NY unless u want to pay big bucks. Staff was terrific which made up for any lack of luxury. Would recommend!

Perfect location to Times Square & Central Park

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Lovely little boutique hotel, 5 minute walk from Times Square and Central Park. We had a deluxe king size bedroom, it was a little small, but we were hardly ever there - only to sleep! The bed was really comfy, bathroom clean and the shower was lovely. The room was nice and quiet after a long day exploring NYC. There is a guest room where you can get cake, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit, so no need to buy breakfast in the morning. The staff were all so helpful, any questions you have ask them! Would definitely stay again.

Long weekend in NYC

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Cons: The room needs a full-size mirror.
My husband and I came to NYC for a long weekend. The hotel was located right in the center of everything. 2 blocks from Central Park, walking distance to the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway, Times Square and the 5th Avenue. We even walked to the MET and the Guggenheim museum. The hotel is very small, but cosy. We got upgraded to a junior suite, which was rather spacious for a NY hotel room and we've stayed in NY hotels before, so we could compare. They have a lounge area not he second floor open all day where you can make yourself tea, coffee or hot chocolate or pick up some fruit. Nice touch. The roomstyle is. Very modern. The shower is very nice!

Amazing Hotel!!!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great location near to central park and times square. Just off Broadway and a subway is not a far walk away.
This hotel was perfect, it is in a great location, just off Broadway and between central park and times square. On arrival, we was upgraded to a suite because we was visiting for both of our 21st birthday. All staff members were very polite, welcoming and helpful. We had just gone into our room and one of the staff brought up a cake as it was our birthdays. The room was always kept clean and tidy by the cleaners. It was very modern and had everything we needed from a hairdryer to an iron and ironing board. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and recommended places to eat and advice on the best subway to take to certain places. I highly recommend this hotel and would be very surprised if anyone would be disappointed.

A True Gem in the Big Apple.....

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly Staff, ultra clean, comfortable rooms, proximity to everything, free wifi, The iron was awesome and the modern new feel
Cons: The ability to add more light to the room would help. Main light wasn't bright enough when you needed it in the mornings
Location: Location perfect, close to everything you need
Great staff and experience at this NYC gem. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. A bit smaller than some rooms I've stayed in previously but have to say the layout of a big comfy bed, functional table and chair for computer work and loads of plug sockets to charge the plethora of I-tech items we all carry around now was fantastic. The only thing I missed was that the room had no natural light which after spending long nights out in NYC actually became a bonus. Hotel doesn't have room service but you don't need it as its situated on 55th and 8th near loads of great restaurants so no need at all. Shower and bathroom facilities were modern (new) and very clean. Bed was huge and amazingly comfortable. They have a great Bar on Level 2 with cake. Did I mention the WIFI is Free. Thats a huge thing in NYC. I found this the perfect alternative to the bigger sometimes ageing chain hotels. Definitely take a look at this place, you wont be disappointed. I will be returning

Nice hotel

Pros: Hotel Staff
Staff is super nice and welcoming I had a great time at the Moderne. They have a guest lounge where you can stop to get coffee, fruits, etc. The hotel is 8 min away from Times Square and 2 min away from the David Letterman Show. I stayed 2 nights at the Junior Suite and the whole staff made the experience very enjoyable. Overall, very good experience I would definitely go back to the Moderne
