Great NYC Hotel

Posted Mar 22, 2015
The Muse delivers the typical Kimpton quality, but does this with extra service & polish. Almost perfect location in midtown Manhattan, only 1 block from a Times Square and 2 blocks 5th Ave. I found the staff especially helpful and responsive, even to the point of supplying contact lens solution when mine spilled. I stayed here for business, but location & quality would work fir a business trip or fun weekend. Easy walk to theatre district.

Love Kimptons but this one did not live up

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and approachable, if not particularly effective. Nice afternoon wine reception. Good breakfast in attached restaurant.
Went to NYC for a few days with my son and chose the Muse b/c it was centrally located and a Kimpton (passing over another boutique hotel we previously stayed in and liked a lot). We got placed in a third floor room on the street-side. Expected some street noise, especially since we were there for St. Patty's Day. Did not expect workers in the room next door at 6:30 am banging in and out. When I went to the desk to ask what was going on, they said no work should be done at that time and they would get back to me. Went to the desk again later to inquire and was told they would look into it. Never got any response from the desk. Because of this omission, I will never choose to stay there again. Also, water pressure and temperature were terrible. Last, they need more comfortable chairs in the lobby.

Great Stay

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: Location, well appointed room, great staff.
Location: Times Square, theaters, Stardust Diner, Penn Station, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Bryant Park
Stayed for 2 nights for a NYC getaway. I've stayed at The Muse before, and have never been disappointed. True to the Kimpton philosophy, the staff always make me feel welcome, are quick to offer help and do a great job. This hotel is a great location to do some easy exploring. Only steps from Times Square, the hotel provides a quiet environment and the theaters are only a few blocks walk. Restaurant choices are seemingly endless and nearby subway stations get you to museums and parks that are farther away. Definitely recommend. Complementary wine gathering from 5 to 6 is a nice touch.

Good hotel in a great location

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Rooms and location.
Cons: Air con noise
Location: Near to times square
Very clean, high quality comfortable rooms. Hotel has small reception area but staff very friendly. Good wi-fi in room, air-con in rooms a bit noisy. Hotel located 50 metres walk from time square but you don't notice the noise from the hotel. We would stay here again.

I had a great weekend in NYC during my stay at the Muse Hotel. Wonderful hotel that is conveniently located to Times Square, the Theater District, and Fifth Avenue. The Muse is definitely one of my favorite hotels in NYC.

Nice hotel, centrally located.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating!
Cons: can't think of anything
Location: walk to Times Square!!!!!
My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Muse during a cold, snowy spell in February. We had come to NY to see a Broadway performance. The theater was walking distance from the hotel! Also, the hotel is extremely centrally located---there are three subway stations within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Bathroom was modern and clean. Given that the hotel is in the middle of midtown, there is a bit of street noise during the night which kept my wife from getting a good night sleep. So bring earplugs is you are bothered by street noise. The hotel provides coffee in the mornings and wine in the late afternoon in the lobby to its guests. I would stay again at the Muse without reservation.

Nice hotel. Close to all the action

We arrived at the hotel in the later morning. The valet parked our car immediately with no wait. Our room was not ready yet but the hotel staff held our bags so we could hit the road and enjoy NYC. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Great Hotel!
