“They are not interested in Expedia VIP card”
They are a partner of Expedia Elit program but when I gave my card to the reception officer expecting any possible upgrade or a word saying that there is not any available upgraded room they just gave it back without saying anything. So do not pick them for being a partner of the Expedia Elite program.
“Great value on Suites”
Suites cost less than 50% more than a standard room, but are more than twice the size of a standard room, with two bathrooms, lots of windows, not cramped like the standard rooms. Highly recommend.
“Awesome staff!”
Hotel was great! Walking distance to Javits center!
“Yes, but...”
Great location, acceptable rooms...but, loud. The outside noise, no different than most NYC hotels. But, hope you don't get placed next to someone who snores, wakes up early or has visitors in their room. Walls seemed to be paper thin.
“Thanskgiving Vacation”
We stayed at the New Yorker for four nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. Could not have had a better time...Macy's parade, Radio City Hall Christmas Spectacular, dinner in Little Italy, New York City attractions. The New Yorker is located accross the street from Penn Station which was very convenient for hopping on the subway and getting anywhere at a minutes notice. Also, the air train from Newark is a short ride directly into Penn Station. within a 10 minute walk you can get to Time Square, Broadway, Macy's, Empire State Building, etc. The rooms were very clean and much bigger than we anticipated with two closets and two bathrooms which was a plus being we were traveling with our two children. I would definately stay here again on my next visit to NYC. Who knows, we had such a great time this may become a family tradition!
“Excellent Service Great Location”
Reception staff very friendly allowed us to check in early and found us a great room with a view. Room small but very comfortable. Tea and coffee maker would be a good addition. Superb location near Empire State building Times Square Madison Sq Gardens and Macey's. Tick Tock restaurant attached to Hotel serves amazing breakfast.. Definitely would return. Neil and Michele from Cyprus.
“Great location, poor service”
Loved the location, rooms tiny. Cleaning staff and concierge were great but reception was rude and unhelful.
“EXCELENT!”
EXCELENT HOTEL!!!
“Surprisingly pleasant experience for this native New Yorker!”
Got this room on Expedia for a one night stay and other than the size of the "suite" (which was no surprise to this Tri-borough Baby), it was a great experience.
“best location”
great old hotel, great location(the best!!!!) we have stayed there twice, once before the renovation, and once after, our first trip before reno was a better experience, because the room we had was bigger than the new reno rooms. this room that we had this time left alot to be desired, sparse furniture(hardly any counter top space for things) very small nite stands and dressers, too small flat screens mounted to the wall and don't swivel and the room it self was very small.I geuss it all depends on where exactly you stay in the hotel, my geuss is the higher floors have bigger rooms,i.e.-tower suites.
