Outside noise and bathroom issues!

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Nice location and room was very small but neat. Toilet was not fitted properly and was facing towards the wall so you had to use it side ways and did not stop flushing for a long time. Water pressure for the taps and especially the shower was pathetic. Called to complain to reception about changing the room but got no answer and suddenly a handy man appears at the door without any courtesy call (this is at midnight!). I was only there for one night and since it was very late I did not make it a big deal but will not be booking this hotel again!

This hotel is excellent for location!! But the lobby is very dark.. The rooms are small do I would definitely recommend an upgrade to king size bed . Staff and employees are all professional and friendly .. Trip advisory is very accurate with details on this Hotel. Small and clean with excellent location but very dark Lobby!

Is the cost worth it?

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: The location is convenient, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the room fit my needs.
Cons: More reasonable rates for the smaller rooms.
Location: Easy walking distance to major theaters and restaurants. Subway stations are just two blocks away in either direction (Times Square or 50th Avenue).
I had the smaller Petite room and it served my needs as I only spent time in the room to sleep each night. The room was smaller than a $49.99 Motel Six room but it was certainly more costly. I understand that you have to pay for something in Times Square (and there aren't any Motel Sixes in the area), but more than $200 per night is quite stiff.

Living in a Closet

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Room size and availability of ice machines on each floor.
Location: Great location.
My only significant comment is the extreme smallness of the hotel room. It was perhaps 10 x 15 with an adjoining bathroom that was perhaps 6 x 6. It was so small, the only place available for the usual hairdryer was hanging on a hook on the inside of the bathroom door.

Huge cockroach

Posted Apr 14, 2014
The lobby was beautiful. Rooms small but clean. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. My favorite sweater went "missing "and was never found. They said it must have gotten mixed in with the towels but it was black and towels were white. There was a cockroach the size of a silver dollar in the bathroom. Window in the room would not close all the way. The manager seemed annoyed and indifferent about all of it. Lots of hotels in New York I can spend $350 a night in. Would never go back there !!!

Close to Times Square

Posted Apr 14, 2014
When booking a car to the airport by the concierge he booked me with an outside company and not the ones the hotel uses daily.... When I asked about it to the doorman I was told that pretty much depending on whom is working that can happen. I was charged way over what it would have been. And felt very uncomfortable that all the hotel workers were not on the same page.... Otherwise the hotel was nice and the beds were amazing.

Not a deluxe room by far

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The whole room needs to be improved.
Location: Time square
I reserved a deluxe king size room with walk in shower and setting area. The room did not have a walkin shower but a old tub shower combo and didn't even have a matin the tub to make sure no one feel. A small desk and one chair. I have never stayed in a hotel, that I paired a lot less for, and not have so much as a coffee pot in the room and not only no coffee pot no small ice box. I would never stay at this hotel again. I also feel I should get a refund on part of the cost being it was NOTHING let the pictures on the web site.

Great location

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Location and building best points.
Cons: Wi-Fi should be free. Would be good if there was better lighting in room, needs better lighting by bathroom mirror. Change music in lobby!
Location: Lots of great bars and places to eat around. An excellent location as base for sight seeing, both walking and using public transport.
Lovely building, stylish dark lobby with lots of seating but music much too loud, would have been great with smooth jazz or blues. Bar really expensive, even for the area. We had cheapest room so need to take this into consideration but the room was small and a little dark. However, bed comfortable and room clean. Mostly quiet apart from sometimes when heating or aircon comes on. Good shelving in bathroom. Wi-Fi cost expensive, seems a bit out of date to charge when so many bars and public spaces offer free WiFi these days. Staff mostly very helpful and friendly. Although great location, probably rather stay elsewhere if return to NYC.
