Perfect stay

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Not only was the room spacious and comfortable, the location of this hotel was perfect too. However, the icing on the cake was the amazing complimentary breakfast. This alone would encourage me to return - loads of choice and there was always somewhere to sit (something that shouldn't be taken for granted in this situation). This was always a perfect start to a busy day of sightseeing. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel

We enjoyed every minute of staying in the pearl. The majority of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in by a mile. The location of the hotel is perfect for taking all the sights of NY city I would 110% recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in NY city.

Good hotel easy access to everything

Pros: Great location, included continental breakfast, cheese and wine and guest Wi-Fi. Efficient staff, room very clean and well presented. Walk in shower.
Cons: Room d├ęcor was brown - I found it a bit dull, but that's purely personal preference!
Location: Easy walking to theatres, central park and other attractions. One block to direct subway line to Staten Island Ferry and S of L/Ellis Island cruise.
A pleasant hotel in a great location with the bonus of inclusive continental breakfast, cheese and wine in the afternoon and guest Wi-Fi (useful to all but a deciding factor with teenage children!). Also a complimentary online flight check-in facility and boarding pass printing. A good size deluxe room with 2 queen beds was very clean and well presented and was kept so during our stay. It was well soundproofed internally (see below though) - the room next to ours had a family with two youngish children and a baby and we heard nothing until we stepped outside our room. Expect plastic crockery/cutlery/glasses (I guess a result of limited kitchen facilities), albeit good quality plastic, in the lounge/dining area and these seem to be disposed of once used (we were told to put them in the bin) - this might concern some people. If noise bothers you don't take a room at the rear below, say, level 5. Initially we were given a room at the back on level 2. In the room you can hear a loud noise from a generator or other electrical unit outside at the back of the hotel at this level. The room and the other rear rooms on this level had a patio area with sun lounger but for me they would be unusable because of the noise. To the credit of staff we were moved without question to a room 2 floors up in the same position. You could still hear the noise from the unit below but it was nowhere near as intrusive (so long as you didn't open the window) and we didn't ask to be moved again.

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Location: Time square! Lots of nice restaurants Lots of things to do - walking distance
The staff was always smiling and very helpful. One day we overslept and they served us breakfast anyway with a huge smile and got me a tray to take breakfast for my daughter who was still asleep!

Comfortable stay with kids

Great location near Times Square and close to Central Park. Staff was less accommodating for late check-outs, needed for families, but room was very comfortable for a family of four. The breakfast was varied and delicious.

A wonderful place to stay

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Location: The location is ideally suited within the Theatre District. Times Square is one block away.
We have visited New York on numerous occasions generally staying in a range of hotels in Manhattan. Prior to this visit we never liked a hotel enough to "return" to it for a subsequent visit. Very honestly, I always dread choosing a NYC hotel because the rooms are usually minuscule or the staff is unpleasant. Luckily, however, during our visit to NYC in April 2014 we randomly chose to stay at the Pearl NYC Hotel on West 49th St. The hotel was lovely, the rooms were more spacious than most NYC hotels in which we have stayed, the staff was more than pleasing, and the location was good. Their continental breakfasts and happy hours were wonderful perks that certainly added to our positive feel for the hotel. We will definitely return to the Pearl Hotel for another visit!
