Classy hotel - great locationPosted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The continental breakfast was perfect. The staff was courteous and helpful.
Classy Hotel - great location. It's close to Times Square, but it's also insulated from Times Square - thankfully. Close proximity to Rockerfeller Plaza and multiple subway access points.

Great hotel in the heart of Times SquarePosted Jul 19, 2014
Great location within easy walking distance to Times Square, Broadway Shows, Rockefeller Plaza, Fifth Ave, Empire State Building and Central Park. Many great restaurants and bars around hotel. Easy to get to either by cab or subway. Great for a couples getaway or family with kids. Free continental breakfast in the morning is great and then free wine and cheese in the afternoon. Very comfortable accommodations.

Great family roomPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The location, right near Broadway, Times Square, walking distance to many attractions, and close to number of met stops.
Cons: A bar or communal place to sit would be good, there was a food place/bar next door but it wasn't as nice as the hotel re décor & atmosphere.
Location: You could eat at a different place each night for a week without having to walk more than 5 minutes!
We stayed in July with two teenage boys in a deluxe suite. The room was spacious, attractive and the beds were good sizes and extremely comfortable. Little touches were very welcome, such as free breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere (my son became addicted to grape jelly on toasted bagels). There were plenty of plugs for charging mobiles & ipads, the TV in the bathroom was very glam, the dressing gowns were lovely (although one each would have been good as we had to have a rota for the two we had). Having a computer and printer available for free to print off boarding passes was also a nice touch.

Convenient for ShowsPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Close to shows and friendly staff.
Cons: Beds are not comfortable and housekeeping could be more thorough. They need to restock the breakfast bar and evening snacks more frequently.
Location: Great for Broadway shows. Rockefeller Center is a must see!
Pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable - beds not so comfy. The continental breakfast is a bit picked over and unappealing if you don't get down there when it opens so not a huge draw if you want more than coffee and cereal. Location is great to go to Broadway Shows, but if that isn't your thing I would stay further away from Times Square next time.

Hotel close to Times SquarePosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Excellent beds - most comfortable we have slept in. Breakfasts as described - buffet - but plenty of choice. Drinks/snacks/fruit always available
Cons: A mending kit in the room.
Location: Hotel is ideally placed just off Times Square and close to all the major attractions. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity and further afield.
We went to New York for a 3 night stay for daughter's 18th. Hotel is ideally placed just off Times Square and close to all the major attractions - only short walks to Empire State Building, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park, M&M World Bloomingdales, Macey's. Bus trips around New York (for Twin Towers memorial and Statue of Liberty) from end of street. Although close to centre the hotel is not noisy and we were always able to get a full night's sleep.

Quiet...but near theaters, Metro & Times SquarePosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: I love the 24 hour lemon water and coffee/tea offerings and the light breakfast in the morning and a wine, fruit and cheese hour in the afternoon.
Cons: Check your final bill. We were charged $14.00 for 2 bottles of water. (why drink bottled...they have lemon water?). The manager kindly adjusted.
Location: The nearby Metro is a short ride to SoHo shopping and restaurants. A grocery, restaurants and coffee shops are close.
This hotel never disappoints! It is reasonably priced for all of the perks and amenities it offers when visiting NYC. It is a little over a block and a half to a Metro and in the heart of the theater district. It is quiet but only a five minute walk to Rockefeller Center or Times Square. The Pearl is contemporarily decorated. It's a well appointed and yet comfortable space to relax and recover at the end of a day of shopping and sight-seeing. The rooms stock bathrobes and a heavy duty umbrella for guests to use. In addition, each room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave...amazingly practical!

Luxury accommodations without the luxury price!Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The location. The nice rooms. The complimentary wine and cheese in the late-afternoon and the very good continental breakfast in the morning.
Location: Near everything in the Times Square / Broadway area. The Book of Mormon is across the street and Chicago is a few doors over.
My girlfriend and I stayed at The Pearl for a long weekend over the 4th of July holiday. We are a young couple in our early 30's. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The room was beautiful. It has a very sleek updated design. There was a Keurig coffee machine, a fridge, and a microwave in our room. We didn't really use the fridge or the microwave because there are so many dining options in the area, but it was a nice touch and it was out of the way so it didn't feel "cheap" like it does in a lot of hotel rooms. There is complimentary wine and cheese from 4 - 5pm and free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast includes many pastry options, cereal, juice, etc. No prepared food, but anything else you could want is there. You won't go hungry. They have a place to print boarding passes, which is becoming a necessity in hotels these days. The staff is really nice and gladly held our bags for us and had a car pick us up when it was time to go to the airport. We are planning on going back to NYC in a few months and we will almost definitely stay here again. Overall, a great experience.
