Nice hotel near Time Square

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Nice small lobby. Reception was excellent and very accomdating. Rooms nice and rommy, including washroom. Which is not easy to find in New York. Really appreciated the small perks, chips, water and fruit in main lobby. Free wifi and complimentary breakfast. Would go back for sure! Was a perfect hotel for us, for work!

Overrated Hotel

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Read the reviews on the hotel and it did not live up to expectations. Allocated one of the worst rooms even though we booked well in advance and were paying a high room rate. Had the pay to upgrade and could not even get more than 1 hour late checkout. Would not stay here again.

Great hotel - great location

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Not only is breakfast laid on (cereals, eggs, toast & spreads, croissants etc) there are also nibbles and wine at 4.00 pm. Hot & cold drinks all day.
Location: On 49th Street and off Broadway in the theatre district. Plenty of eateries nearby. Easy to use Subway to anywhere in Manhattan. Central Park close by
Situated on 49th Street in the Theatre District this hotel is close to Times Square and close to a good many of the most visited places of interest. The Subway is near and easy to use. Used it to get to South Manhattan for Ground Zero, Brooklyn, Statue of Liberty and a helicopter ride. Sensational !

Times Square

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: The Pearl has a touch of class.
Cons: We found nothing lacking
Location: All of New York is easily accessable.
A clean quiet brilliantly located hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast a real bonus and the wine fruit cheese etc in the afternoon perfect. Room spotless and clean towels every day. Toiletries topped up every day and even an umbrella in the room. Free use of Wi Fi, two computers and printer .

Overall excellence

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: The shower head-not enough water pressure.
Location: Times Square. Theatre. Walk to MoMa, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Empire State Bldg, Port Authority. Very convenient location
The Pearl was recommended by my sister who stayed there in 2011. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast provided was a great way to start the day. The room was clean and lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The wine and cheese at 4:00 each day was a nice way to take a break from the hectic pace, giving us the chance to regroup before getting ready for dinner and the theatre. It's close proximity to Times Square and various attractions was so convenient. Another plus - four excellent restaurants just steps from the hotel.

Short break

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: No fuss and bother, from arriving until departure. Did what it should do without a problem.
Cons: Nothing! keep it straight forward as it is.
Location: two theatres. The subway nearby was very important.
Ideal, no frills, no restaurant. Just a good comfortable place to stay, with a continental breakfast facility.

Fantastic Stay!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
This hotel is in a perfect location. Just off of Times Square and right across from the Book of Mormon theatre and right next to Chicago theatre! The staff was awesome and they have happy hour from 4-5 and a continental breakfast! Amazing stay and hotel!
