The staff in this hotel is amazing! Really luxury oriented and attentive to my every need. I would recommend it especially the room service food too is amazing! The Greek yogurt and home made granola is fabulous! Rooms are beautiful and beds are comfortable as well.

The Perfect Stay-cation

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Tea Time at the Pierre is delicious and classy. Rebecca was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: The view from my room (which I know can't be improved) was disappointing, but next time I'll ask for a room facing Central Park or a few floors higher
Location: Just on the East Side of Central Park, close to plenty of shops, restaurants and a movie theater...there is plenty to do and enjoy.
Obviously The Pierre was going to be a beautiful, well kept, and friendly hotel (which it is and excels at), but the best part about staying here was feeling like I left the daily grind of the city. I didn't I hear one car honk or a single person yell or curse the whole time. It was a great, relaxing, weekend get-a-way without going away. Word of advice - if you have a car with you, park at the Pierre. I was running late and stuck in traffic, so I parked one ave away and got ripped off.

Pricey but unspectacular

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Cons: Rooms still seem tired and low tech, even after the major refurb.
Good location. Friendly staff. Average rooms - nothing special. It looks most of the refurishment money went into the lobby and other common areas. It is hard to understand why The Pierre sets its price point right on top of its superior neighbor, The Plaza.

A true to life dream

Posted Feb 3, 2015
We came hoping for a unique time and found something outstanding. We have stayed in many fine hotels and for us the key has always been if the staff really seemed to care and made you feel at home. This was a special occasion for us,our Golden Anniversary, and we chose the Pierre because its name always seemed to stand for the highest degree of excellence. We were not disappointed. From our arrival everyone seemed to be dedicated in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Somehow they learned of our occasion and on the day they sent up fifty roses and champaign! More than this was a signed card by everyone on the staff!! Talk of making us feel special. The whole week went by with the same sort of feeling, everything is done to make you feel at home plus. The room was lovely as was the cleanliness. The elevators are all manned, a nice touch in a world where the personal touch is lost. To sum up, let me just thank everyone for a stay that will live long in our hearts.

An old world classic in great location

Posted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: The location was the best element though the in house restaurant was amazing for dinner.
Cons: The system of holding money throughout ones stay should be explained upon check in
Location: Location was fantastic; opposite central park where we had an evening carriage ride, went ice skating and had ready access to 5th avenue shops.
We enjoyed a pleasurable stay in this iconic hotel which despite its age was well presented and supported by professional staff. The location was fantastic being directly opposite Central Park and at the beginning of 5th Avenue shops so everything we needed was within reach.Teh concierge team was great and helped with several bookings including a last minute concert My experience was only tainted here as a result of the hotel holding funds from my credit card without advising me of this. They held three lots of $600 throughout my 7 night stay resulting in my card being declined when shopping. To their credit they listened to my concern upon checkout and deducted items from my account acknowledging the billing error. As a result of this Id certainly return

One of the best choices in NYC

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Location, room size, service.
Cons: Room quality, modernisation required.
Excellent location, fantastic service. Really large rooms, especially in NYC standards. Highly recommended. Be careful as some of the rooms could use an update (generally poor electrics & electronics, bathrooms partially refurbed).

Stupendo!
