A grand old lady called...PierrePosted May 4, 2015
At one of the best possible locations in town, Upper East on 5th Avenue with Central park across the street, The Pierre is an icon of luxury of another age. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, quiet and spacious rooms, this 5 star hotel offers a 5 star experience. You don't need a lift boy or girl in every elevator, but this is exemplary of what sets this grand old lady apart. For guests (like us) who are easily satisfied with the very best, look no further. Your next stop in NYC is at the Pierre.

Classic and luxuryPosted Apr 23, 2015
I like the classic luxury hotel instead of something trendy which I often find are frather dull and overrated. If you like old fashioned luxury then this one for you

Flott hotellPosted Apr 22, 2015
Flott hotell med nærhet til Central Park og 5th/Madison og Lexington Avenue for shopping. God standard og veldig behjelpelige ansatte tilstede for gjestene 24/7.

Excellent hotel staff - some minor faultsPosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The Staff and their service
Cons: bar lounge did not serve food until afternoon tea at 3.30pm. The only alternaitve int he hotel was the very expensive Italian restaurant.
Location: Great location for Central Park and Bllomingdales. 20 minute walk or 5 by taxi for Broadway theatre district.
Got an upgraded room though without a view (other than the neighbouring building's aircon equipment which was noisy on occasions). The staff were all excellent and the concierge was especially helpful with advice and bookings for restaurants, theatre, transport, etc. For our anniversary we received complimentary champagne and a cake. We had a faulty phone which they responded by discount the invoice of our extras.

Cons: The Hotel lacked entertainment. The Carlyle has a terrific entertainment and bar scene it does not have to be like that but to have nothing in such a
Tarak, our hotel driver was always pleased to drive us to theatre, restaurants, museums. This service was outstanding. I would definitely return to the Pierre again.
