The tiny, basic room overlooking Grand street

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Cons: The heater could be cleaned, and china cups provided.
Location: Very central location in China Town and Little Italy, and a short walk to Broadway.
The beds were extremely comfortable, everything very clean; great shower. There was a bath tub; coffee making machine, no fridge but an ice dispenser in the lobby and a little ice bucket that was sufficient to keep some milk cold for coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite double glazing the room was noisy from street traffic and a couple of nearby construction sites. The area is lively and fun, with lots of cheap eats around.

Great place to stay in SoHo!

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Clean room and bathroom.
Location: Right in the center of SoHo. Shops, restaurants, taverns, all within walking distance. Parking located just around the corner. All very convenient.
This hotel in a nice, small hotel in a convenient location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean room and spotless bathroom. Room was small, but how much time do you spend in the room when visiting Manhattan? We would definitely stay again next time we visit the city.

Dissapointed

Posted Nov 23, 2014
This wasn't a bad hotel, but for the price I expected more. Hotel staff was efficient but could have been a little friendlier and engaging. Room size was about what I expected, not real small, but somewhat cramped. The hotel was going for a modern look which they achieved in the hallway common areas but in the rooms themselves I would call it spartan and almost jail cell like in feel. I've never been in a room where the floor is covered in a rubber mat (it did have a weave pattern which I guess was supposed to make it feel better). You almost felt like the maid would come in and just hose down the floor while cleaning the room. The bed was very nice and comfortable. In the shower there were two containers mounted to the wall which I assume contained shampoo/conditioner and maybe bath gel, I wasn't sure as neither was labeled. The room was clean and comfortable. Its a shame but with a few changes this hotel would have been a nice stay. My reservation was for one queen bed but the desk clerk put me in a room with two twin beds. Not a big deal and I didn't really care since I was a single person in the room, but I would expect they would assign you the room you booked.

Nice hotel near Little Italy and China Town

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: SoHo/Little Italy/Chinatown
I REALLY liked this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and I liked the location -- easy access to all that Little Italy and Chinatown have to offer; and close to the subway to get any where in the City. Also, you can get room service from the restaurant next door to the hotel.

Great location convenient to Little Italy, Chinatown and Wall Street. Room was small, but that is typical of NYC. Staff helped me print an email and fax signature back to office. We were in town to visit colleges. Walking distance to Pace and NYU. Subway stops nearby.

There are better places to stay

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Location Big window Clean
Cons: Customer Service Fix broken items in the room
I'm pretty familiar with NYC and know that small rooms are standard regardless of how much you pay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It had a big window which helped to feel less boxed in. However, I wouldn't stay here again. The location is excellent. But I would go back to the Wyndham Gardens Hotel on Bowery or try the Holiday Inn down the block next time. Lights were broken in the room, fittings missing, the TV was broken, the elevator stopped working, and I had to ask for basic room items like shampoo etc. I tend not to get too hung up on details if the room is comfortable and clean, however, the major issue I had was a general reluctance to do anything about the issues I raised. Customer service is not a priority AT ALL! The maintenance guy lied to the front desk and said the TV was fixed (it wasn't). I told them about the broken lights and I got an "I'm sorry" with no intention to fix it. If you're considering staying at this hotel I suggest keep looking and find a place that prioritizes customer needs and general service so you actually get what you pay for.

Great Location

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The bathroom was the highlight - the water pressure in the shower is out of this world!
Cons: Would have loved a gym somewhere - just a treadmill in a corner would be great :)
Location: Really close to China Town and Little Italy as well as all the other shopping/dining options in SOHO.
This is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location. Perhaps short on amenities but completely understandable for the room rate.
