“Great birthday weekend”
I was taken to NY by my partner for my birthday and the Waldorf was part of the highlights of my weekend. It is situated very close to all the shopping at Tiffany's and the other 5th Avenue high-end stores. The hotel's concierge was very helpful in recommending an excellent restaurant in the Village. The only drawback was the Bellman did not deliver on a promise to get back to us on a matter, but evertything else was perfect.
“Yuppers...”
first trip to NYC as a family and chose to stay at a name place. couldn't have been happier.
“Hotel without peers”
GREAT
“excellent!”
everything was great.
“Wonderful Anniversary Trip”
My husband and I went to New York for our 20th Wedding Anniverssary. The entire staff was very accomadating and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is beautiful. We will certainly stay there again.
“You must stay here - it's soooo New York”
The Waldorf is not to everyone's taste, some might prefer trendy boutique hotels, but if you're looking for a little comfort and luxury to relax between shopping trips(and there's plenty of that!)then this is a great place to stay. Perfectly located within a block from Saks 5th Ave, Bloomingdales is close by on 59th and Macys is a short cab ride. The rooms are comfortable, we had a suite which although had no view was very quiet, the beds are lovely and the bathrooms are recently re-furbed. Particularly excellent was the concierge who were spot-on with their advice and booked some great venues. We arrived during the stage-hands strike on Broadway which meant a show was out of the question but they got us tickets for Birdland a great Jazz Club - definitely to recommend. Good restaurant on the next block is Maloney & Porcelli, typical New York steak house. Good breakfast buffet downstairs at Oscars although give yourself time at weekends as the service can be pleasant but slow. The Sir Harry's Bar is good too, good service and relaxed ambiance. All in all a good hotel, full of history and part of New York's past but with modern attitude.
“wonderful experience, excellent value for money”
My recent stay at the Waldorf Astoria was wonderful. The hotel was luxurious, incredibly clean and service was excellent. Only negative - lack of wardrobe space in bedrooms.

On arriving to the Waldof on 18th nov for 5 nights the service from reception and staff was very polite and friendly, our room was spotless and which over looked park av.i can not complain about this hotel at all the stanard through out was impressive and i look forward to staying at this hotel again thats if i can get a good deal like i did on this stay.i recommend this hotel
“Historic Hotel still impresses....”
Better than expected......
“'Made our Trip'”
Brilliant. Staff extremely courteous and eager to help, nothing too much trouble. We used room service and one of the hotel restaurants, both had good food and not overpriced. Fantastic location, all bus tours and water bus shuttles stop outside. The hotel even lends you umbrellas when its raining!! Enjoy
