Location, Location, LocationPosted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Location, price, housekeeping
Cons: Beds, price for parking, noise level, room temperature
Location: Blocks away from everything!!!
Great value for the location. You get what you pay for. The bed was hard and squeaky, the room was cold, and there was loud yelling coming from staff office on the six floor. I thought parking was $20 a day but we were charged $30 because was had a truck. I didn't understand that since it fit in the same size parking spot. We didn't use the Wi-Fi which they charge $6 a day for. Great place if you just need a clean place to sleep and take a hot shower.

Travel Inn ManhattanPosted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: Renovate the other rooms that are in despair.
Location: The only other negative would be that there is no subway nearby. I had to take the bus to the subway. This is Manhattan, so plenty to do all around.
I was leary about this hotel because I didn't have time to research it, but when I drove up passed the front office it looked pretty nice & I was relieved. I then went to my room and I was very disappointed in its condition. It had furniture out of place, the bed out of place, the rug filthy, the heat up to 100 and a fan blowing the hot air around. I went back to the desk and said it didn't seem like this room was ready for guests. They said, your right, there has been a mistake and they gave me a new room. The new room was obviously newly renovated and was beautiful and the bed was wonderful (firm and comfortable which was perfect for my bad back). I loved the room, was very comfortable there, wished I was staying longer than one night, & would recommend it to others.

Close to everything Would Stay there Again.Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: The Location. We drove from Michigan to NYC we got out of the Lincoln Tunnel and did Not have to drive far into the city at all.
Cons: The Shower Pressure and the beds were a little to hard for me.
Location: I would also recommend you do one of the site seeing buses to take you downtown so you can shop! You can get a Buy One Get One Deal just ask.
Went for a Birthday/girls Long Weekend. The Staff was very nice, Helpful and friendly. The Parking is NOT 12 as listed on Expedia it is 20 per day. I would stay there again, because you cant beat the price and the Location WAS Perfect! I would recommend if your taking food to keep it in a cooler in your room we did have a little unwanted guest who was in our food bag when we were not in the room.

Travel Inn West 42nd, Street New YorkPosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: The homeliness
Cons: A coffee machine or even a kettle in the room would be great!
We stayed at the Travel Inn from November 13th. to Nov.17th.this year 2014. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and reasonably priced.. The staff are helpful and polite. The facilities are basic, no restaurant or shop, but it does have a small Gym and partly enclosed swimming pool, although not ideal for this time of year. The room we had was nicely furnished, had a TV.. fridge , microwave, and a very comfortable bed, but sadly no coffee maker. I became a dab hand at making tea in the microwave, although I had to buy a glass jug to boil the water in. We were just used to having a cup of tea or coffee when we woke up so we had to compromise . We didn`t have to worry about breakfast as next door to the hotel is a great Deli where we had a delicious substantial breakfast every morning. The pancakes are good too! Across the road was the NYPD and police cars parked every where. The Travel Inn is ideally located and with in walking distance of all the major sites such as the Empire State Building, the jetty where we caught the Circle Line ferry which took us out out on the Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty on Staten Island. Time Square and Theatre land on Broad Way and a little bit further to walk is Central Park. It`s good to walk to absorb the atmosphere and be part of the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps! New York.

Clean and ConvenientPosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Convenience to theater district and public transportation
Travel Inn was a very nice hotel located just outside of the fray of Times Square. Only two blocks from PABT, it is a convenient hotel for a weekend visit. Arriving early in the day, the staff were very willing to keep our luggage until the check in time. In fact on Sunday after we checked out, they kept our bags for most of the day until we were ready to leave the city in the evening. Room was small but adequate for two people and well kept, very clean. It is an old hotel so heat was erratic- either hot or cold, hard to regulate.

Location and valuePosted Nov 18, 2014
Cons: Update bathrooms and heating/air conditioning. Room very warm and not able to adjust heat.
Location: MSG, Time Square, Port Authority and Many choices for food.
Great location for Time Square and MSG. Clean but dated rooms. Fitness area disappointing. Asked for non smoking room but was booked into obvious smoking room, called front desk and promptly changed, good service. Lots of choices to eat in area including a grocery store that served hot and cold buffet choices and prepared food. Easy to take back to hotel and use the convenient microwave and fridge in room, great savings on restaurant prices. Friendly staff with good service. Have stayed in high price hotels where service was less than what was offered at Travel Inn, such as housekeeping. Good value.

close to time squarePosted Nov 17, 2014
Cons: We spend most of our time out of the hotel. Bed covers weren't comfortable. When we showered the water would go extremely hot or extremely cold (hated the shower) The cleaning staff was very loud in the morning. Pros: there's a deli downstairs really good. Subway and time square are very close. There's really cool bars right around the corner.

Fun time in New York for three days.Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Friendly, price was right, clean, comfortable
Cons: It is an older building, and like many of our homes would need a complete overhauling to make it modern. Don't touch it, It's just fine.I

Clean, Decent, Value hotelPosted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Price and proximaty to most attractions
Location: Time Square is very close
Clost to most attractions or steps to subway. Clean room with dated decor, but the bed was comfortable and I slept great. Was good value for the money.
