Great LocationPosted May 23, 2015
The location is excellent - Times Square, Port Authority and Penn Station easily walkable. My room was of reasonable size and perfectly clean, though it looked rather old fashioned. On arrival I found the receptionist rather abrupt in manner, but a different receptionist at checkout was polite and helpful. The building seemed a bit of a warren - at reception the lift only goes to the third floor and you have to walk along a corridor for another lift to higher floors. The outdoor pool had no water in - presumably it is filled only in summer.

They even charge wifi nowadays...Posted May 20, 2015
Cons: More comfortable beds, new carpets, updated bathrooms. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the next room.
Location: Conveniently located in the theater district.
Hotel is conveniently located. However, they now charge $20 per day for parking (before was free) and also now charge $5 per day for wifi (I still need to find another hotel charging internet in today's age). This is disappointing.

Very Nice Hotel! I'd Recommend.Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Friendliness, cleanliness, location
Cons: Heaters in the room would be nice, but alot of hotels in NYC do not have that.
Location: Time Square is only 0.5 miles from here. Nice quiet location.
Travel Inn is a PERFECT hotel for any newcomer coming to NYC. The location, convenience, and price are the attractions to this hotel. Not to mention the friendliness and accommodating staff they have there. Nice place!

Decent hotel with it's own self parking.Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: Very easy to park, $20 over night. Easy access to the Lincoln Tunnel and access to my destination in NJ.
Cons: The lobby is dark, old and needs help. Need new mattresses, in my room at least.
Hotel had some reconstruction underway which was not shown in any promo material. Pool and deck where closed for painting and repairs as well. Furnishings were adequate but old.

Convenient locationPosted May 15, 2015
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: We had to ask everyday for extra towels, even though they new there were 4 people in the room.
Location: Located a couple blocks off of Times Square and close to hustle and bustle of NYC.
We were pleasantly surprised about the location of the hotel. It was convenient to everything we wanted to do. The room seemed to be recently redone and was clean.

Pros: Can't think of anything.
Cons: Needs to be updated and cleaned.
Location: Close to Port Authority and Times Square is nearby. Good for tourists who have never been to New York.
The hotel was in desperate need of an update. Everything about it from the bathroom to the bedspread has not been changed for decades and it shows. One fun tidbit was the hilarity of staying on the top (7th floor). To get there, you must take an elevator to the 3rd floor and then walk the entire length of the hotel, past a lovely view of a sad, empty pool outside, to get to another elevator that will then take you to the 7th floor.
