Met our needs of being conveniently located, affordable, and clean. Simply needed a bed and a bath, amenities were totally unnecessary for our trip.

Affordable and greatPosted Dec 1, 2013
The room was affordable and good. Should not compare with 5 star hotels. since its close to china town, it is in very close proximity to lot of places. I would defnitely recommend this hotel.

A great location to see what the city has to offerPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: Subways close by. Comfy beds, Good facilities. Clean rooms. Great value for money. Close to all attractions. Some excellent staff members.
Cons: Air con is very loud. Some rooms are way to small and need a wardrobe at least.
Location: Hotel is a short ride to Empire State, Grand Central, Chinatown, Little Italy, East Village, Wall Street, WT Centre & Battery Park for Liberty Island
The hotel is in a great location for the subway as 5 different lines cross through the street at some point. Previously I have stayed in Midtown which in all fairness is prettier and feels safer, however the Tribeca Blu hotel in Soho was much better indoors. The rooms are super clean with up to date furnishings and facilities. However, our room was really small compared to the one our friend stayed in. We didn't even have room for a wardrobe in ours so we lived out of a suitcase. This wasn't great as it was our honeymoon but we didn't let it spoil our trip. The bed was extremely comfy and plush, the shower was nice and hot. There is a lot of air-conditioning noise in the rooms but we were so tired we slept through it! The coffee making facilities were nice too. Filter coffee with cream is most welcome when you have a busy day of sightseeing ahead! Most of the staff were really pleasant. One guy wasn't very welcoming and only seemed to speak if we spoke to him first but overall we were pleased. I want to say a big thank you to the maids as our room was very clean and tidy every evening when we returned tired and cold from roaming the city! They did a good job. Finally huge compliments to Tamal on front desk (hope we spelt his name correctly). He was an absolute joy to speak to and was extremely courteous, smiley and helpful every time we saw him! He is a credit to your business and deserves a mention!

Good hotel but noisy!Posted Nov 21, 2013
Staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeted with a smile. Our bed sheets had a dirty mark on them and we had to ask twice for them to be changed. Apart from that very clean, room size was good. Only negative is that it was very noisy from about 5am onwards. Unfortunately the hotel is on a very busy road and although it did not bother us at night (probably too tired) if was very noisy and you would struggle if you were a light sleeper.

Nice boutique hotel for a great pricePosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Price, Condition of room, comfy bed, found free street parking
Cons: empathy of front desk, heat in room
Location: Ate at a great local italian restaurant Scalini Fedeli. You are on canal street so discounted goods are outside your hotel room. We used "Uber" cabs
Better than expected. Last minute Saturday night hotel booking, Tribeca blue had the best price so as you can imagine we had low expectations. Hotel is on Canal street which is a nightmare getting down, try to find another way taking back streets to get to hotel. Called ahead for parking info and front desk was not helpful, fortunately we found free overnight street parking a few blocks away. I have worked in hotel industry so I feel i have a pretty high expectaitons as far as room quality. Condition of room was great, well maintained room, great comfy sheets and pillows. everything seemed new from the carpet to the walls to the bathroom tiles and fixtures. Yes room is small but we were only sleeping there so who cares. Room was very modern with big windows. Only issue we had was that it was a very cold night around 34 degrees and we had the thermostat all the way up when we checked in and there was not air pumping into room, called front desk and they said the system is working just that no one was on floor so fans were off so he would have them turned on. We left for dinner, what they ended up doing is turning on heat in the hallway and individual room still had no temperature control so yes the room got slightly warmer but only because the hallway heat was infiltrating into the room so it was a relatively cold sleep that night but the sheets were very comfortable so it was fine for us but someone who is sensitive to cold would most likely have an issue.

Everything was good except for one big problemPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Its convenient, and well appointed
Cons: FIGURE OUT WHAT THE WHIRRING NOISE IS ON THE 8th FLOOR, MY GOD! and if someone complains about it? DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Check in was fine, the hotel was well appointed, the rooms were small, but it was for one night so no big deal. After I was in my room for about ten minutes I heard this noise tho. WhirrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR- CLICK! I thought it was something from an adjoining room, so I shrugged it off.. I came back to my room later that night and got into bed.. and heard that same noise again ..WhirrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR- CLICK! And then it happened again.. EVERY ten minutes all night long.. It was like some wierd form of torture, because the whole place would be totally quiet and then just as you were about to Nod off.. it would start again.. and rattle you...WhirrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR- CLICK! I called down to the front desk to see if I could move to another room or if they could stop it. The guy said it was something having to do with a "louver" i have no idea what he was talking about. He said he'd have it fixed soon. He did not follow up, and did not offer to move me to another room. It was never fixed.. he basically blew me off. SO, i shoved tissues in my ears so that I could get to sleep..that sort of worked and I was able to get some sleep.
