Very Posh!

Pros: Great bed and views.
Cons: I would prefer a bathroom with a door for a bit of privacy while showering.
Excellent hotel. Close to subways and Soho shopping. Amelia's is just around the corner and great for breakfast. Only down side is there are no doors on bathrooms, so go with someone you are not shy around. Staff was exceptional.

Great location but bland feel.

Fantastic location but hotel claims to be something it isn't. It's clean, high class and efficient but that's it. It does excel anywhere and would get lost in midtown. It's major plus is its location but should feel that it is more suited to its surroundings.

Comfortable and pretty well located

Pros: The beds
Cons: Very busy and a bit chaotic at times
A lovely hotel - lovely rooms, really comfortable beds, a free upgrade due to it being a birthday celebration - I could not fault the hotel in this regard. The only thing I would say is that it's a really busy hotel and as such staff seemed run off their feet at times - long queues at the reception desk, insufficient staff to open the library bar/ cafe for coffees during the day and total inflexibility when it came to a late checkout, which was a pain as we had a really late flight out of JFK the day we left. Also a little pretentious if a good quality, down to earth hotel is what you're looking for. But I could not fault the quality of the hotel and it's a pretty good location within easy walking distance of Greenwich and the West Village, Tribeca and the financial district.

5 Star Amazing
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Brilliant location for a brilliant hotel
This hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Nothing was a problem, the staff were so helpful, the restaurants in the hotel are great, the decor is fabulous, the size of the room is also great! I could go on and on about this hotel. We arrived with our 2 year old boy in tow and automatically they made us feel welcome by getting our boy a hat and a little toy to play with whilst we were checking in. After upgrading our room they then delivered some additional little treats to our room for our son. The location of this hotel is great, walking distance to some great restaurants and bars and really great shopping. We would definitely stay here again, this hotel is truly 5 star.

Spectacular.

This hotel is very special; we were upgraded to a corner suite on the 36th floor and were stunned at the view. This hotel is the only tall building in the neighborhood so the views are unobstructed. Everything was first rate.

Superb hotel, shame about the barman
Posted Jan 5, 2013
The Trump is a magnificent hotel with views to die for, especially if you are at the top of the hotel. Rooms and furnishings, especially the bathrooms, are superb. The location, away from the melee of upper Manhattan, is also excellent, with some good quality bars, delis and restaurants within easy reach. The only, minor blemish, was when we had a drink in the restaurant bar, forgot to leave a tip, and then had an irate barman accost us, very loudly, and unpleasantly, to declare that we hadn't left a tip. Needless to say he didn't get one! So don't use the hotel bar, take a short walk to some excellent local bars.

Fantastic hotel for a couple.

Pros: The fantastic views from the floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and bathroom.
Cons: Hidden costs in breakfast menu, out of date prices on the bar menu.
Location: Excellent location close to Brooklyn bridge but with good subway links to reach uptown.
We had a genuinely warm welcome from reception . We were celebrating a special occasion and were fortunate enough to be upgraded. We had a fabulous room on the 23 rd floor with a stunning view of downtown Manhattan inducing the Freedom tower and to the west the Hudson River . Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. One word of caution, the bar on the 7 th floor and the breakfast room are run by a different company, and it shows. Watch out for hidden costs in the breakfast menu eg it said 'coffee included',I asked for an Americano and found out later I had been charged for it. They also added a 20% tip. I recommend going out for breakfast there are lots of places nearby . SoHo is a lively. Interesting neighbourhood with great dining options.

Great location
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: staff
Cons: paying for wi fi
Location: great spot in trendy SOHO and good for subway - ABC lines
Hotel was great. My booking was for a family room. The Expedia booking did not set this out clearly but the hotel receptionist upgraded me anyway. The only downside is paying $15 a day for internet which is not on in 2013 - but overall excellent.
