Hotel squeezed into congested area.

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Cost to improve this hotel would be prohibitive. Get a far superior design and construction staff.
Location: Location is good for all things NYC is famous for.
Relatively new hotel obviously hastily constructed, poor finish of floors, walls, joints with ultra modern fixtures not easily understood and not explained. Some electrical outlets did not work and lights were stand alone with pull chain operation. Would not recommend or return.Location.

Fabulous location

We had an amazing stay at the W. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but we were upgraded to a corner room with spectacular views of Times Square and free wi-fi too! The room was spacious with a large walk-in shower. Cocktails in the modern bar were delicious! The hotel is located in the ideal spot for shopping and sight-seeing. Central Park, the Empire State Building, Fifth Ave, Grand Central Station, Broadway and Times Square are all within easy walking distance. A great hotel and location.

Over priced, disapointing

Posted Apr 14, 2014
I have been wanting to stay at the W but i guess now i see how over hyped the hotel is. Room cleanliness was terrible. They might as well not come clean at all. Even the Linen smelled bad. For the price we paid per night and the reputation of the hotel , i expected to walk in to a great room, however it was less than average. They do not even offer Free Wi-fi. The location is great, however ill never pick the W again for another stay in Nyc. There are plenty other more affordable and better choices.

Perfect Times Square location

Great staff; ask for a room at least 30th floor and higher; less noise from the activity below. The Blu Fin restaurant is excellent, as well.

Birthday trip to NYC for theatre and dining out

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Location, style of d├ęcor, staff.
Cons: Rooms need a slight bit of more fresh look. They seem about 14 years old or so.
Location: Great theatre access, parking and enjoyed eating at The Glasshouse Restaurant just west on the street.
The staff was very pleasant and most helpful and charming. The facilities are very good, the room a very slight bit worn around the edges.

Great Times Square Location

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location! Great for exploring NYC and attending Broadway plays. Safety. Modern decor allowed for more storage in rooms.
Cons: Lighting and cleanliness.
Location: Close to Broadway shows, restaurants and the lights of Broadway.
Great Times Square Location for exploring NYC and attending Broadway plays. As two adult women and a child, we always felt safe at The W Times Square. However, room lighting was dim and bathroom cleanliness could be improved. The modern room furniture/decor allowed for more storage than typical hotel room furniture/decor. We would stay again.

Beautiful hotel right on Times Square.

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: The location was great. Right on Times Square and easy to walk to the theater district and the subways.
Location: Being on Times Square you are in the middle of the activity.
The hotel was very nice. I liked the idea of checking in on the 7th floor. That eliminated a lot of people standing around in the lobby. Then you had to use your room key in the elevator to get to your room which was a great safety precaution. The room was clean and spacious compared to many of the hotels in Manhattan.

amazing stay!

Pros: location, staff and beds!
Cons: bathrooms!
Location: amazing! central times square, easily accessible, perfect base!
great friendly helpful staff, fantastic entrance & dining, quite dark throughout, boutique feel, room was on 40th floor, great views, bathroom tired but that is my only criticism, I would re book for sure! amazing location, walk out of hotel, in middle of times square!
