DisappointingPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Lobby, Bar & Entrance
Cons: refit the rooms
Location: If you do not like noise - do not stay here. Its the beating heart of NYC on the corner at Times Square, would not stay in that location again!
We were really looking forward to staying at the W and went there because we thought our 2 teenagers would love the vibrance and contemporary setting. The entrance & lobby were fine but overall the hotel rooms were nothing like shown on the pictures. They were small and very tired. I did discuss this with the hotel who say they are overdue a refit. I felt as if we did not get what it said on the tin!

My stay at W hotelPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff , location , price
Location: Great location
Hotel located at the heart of Times Square , staff where excellent and so friendly they would be very happy to help us ,, rooms are standard modern furniture a bit small but it's ok , view is amazing specialy if you get high floor , very high speed wifi with reasonable charge . I haven't try the room service or hotel restaurant . The only thing I didn't like is we got connected room and we can hear people on next room when they talk.

Booking with ExpediaPosted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Hotel was ok and did the best they could for us.
Cons: My experience with Expedia.
Did you know that if you book a hotel room with Expedia and the hotel is over booked and they have to give you a room with one bed instead of two that you have pre-paid for the hotel cannot adjust your rate! I won't book through Expedia again!

Close to Times SquarePosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Bar ambience on lobby level.
Cons: Offer better beds.
Location: Times Square, easy to walk anywhere.
Overall the W is a nice stay. Hotel staff is nice, the staff outside not overly helpful. You need to take two separate elevators to your room, a bit of a nuisance. The beds are not comfortable. I expected the W to have the best mattresses, they are basic. Bathroom was very clean and they offer nice bath products. There is a closet to hang your clothes, but no drawers. Maid staff was very thorough.

Nice hotel, excellent staff, perfect locationPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff very good, excellent location
Cons: Not much apart from a little more attention to detail when cleaning room
Location: Central location, walk to Central Park, Empire State Building, 5th Avenue, and many more. Right on Time Square.
Hotel is well placed and walking distance to most attractions, no need for taxi unless you want to go down town. Forget the tour buses, you can walk everywhere. Get taxi to down town and then walk to attractions.

Just ok for a W hotelPosted Aug 12, 2014
I have stayed in a few W hotels and have loved them all. I picked the W in Time Square because I assumed it would be as nice as the others. It wasn't, nothing really that bad it's just that I'm used to all the other extravagant amenities at the other W hotels. Next time I will try one of the W hotels outside of time square.
