“Possibly best hotel in Manhattan”

You're tired. You want a room. You want comfort. But you're in Manhattan. It's crowded. People on the streets are bitter after a long winter. Nobody is smiling at you or getting out of your way. Suddenly you stumble upon the door men at the W New York, Union Square who give you a warm greeting, practically read your mind with what your immediate needs are and get you to your room promptly and without hassle. The front desk staff is courteous and efficient. The rooms are spacious, spotless and incredibly comfortable. If your room doesn't have all the amenities for which you were hoping (in our case, a bathtub), then the staff takes it upon themselves to relocate you to make you as happy as humanly possible....and the doormen who do it all declined additional tips! Add to that a visit later from hotel staff bringing to our 5 year old daughter cupcakes, candy and a card making even our kid feel warm and welcome. With so many choices in "The City" it is tempting to have that variety serve as a sort of "spice" for future visits however, after having experienced the W New York-Union Square, this frequent tourist wouldn't want to risk potential unhappiness by staying anywhere else. We will definitely return to this establishment...likely by this summer!

“Everything was fabulous - Whatever Whenever is true!”

The hotel was clean and beautiful, everyone was friendly & helpful. I thought it was a great location too. This was our 4th visit to NYC. We stayed at the W on Lexington last time. While also a great facility we loved the Union Square location and will stay there again next time.

“My Favorite Hotel”

You can't beat the location of this hotel! We have stayed here several times and it's always nice to come back. Excellent restaurants within walking distance, and you can get anywhere in the city from the Union Square subway station. The bathrooms are a good size, stocked with Bliss products. I always request a mini-fridge (at no extra charge) which is handy if you visit the Green Market nearby and buy fresh fruits and juices there. The workout room in the basement is small but well-equipped, and I was pleased to see medicine balls there this time. For a treat, have breakfast at Olives.

“Djinn”

We felt very welcome, the room was ready early and were able to check in. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We came back on our first night to our room where bubbly and chocolate were waiting for us. Service was prompt when called for extra blanket. Concierge was helpful and friendly.

“Union Square was super!”

The location was perfect for us as we visited friends, walked to dinner and coffee, and had a quick cab ride to Times Square for a play.

“Union Square was amazing!”

We have stayed at numerous NYC hotels in various areas of Manhattan and the W-Unioun Square is by far the best for the price and the location is perfect. You can walk to countless bars, shops, restaurants. We loved it and will definitely be back.

“My new home in NYC”

I couldn't have wished for more in terms of the location or the quality of the hotel itself. Quite perfect and definitely my home away from home in NYC each time I visit. Looking forward to returning in January.

“Southern Hospitality with NYC Style”

Originally from Alabama, I am well versed on southern hospitality and I never expected to find it in NYC. Having lived in the Boston area for 20 years it was refreshing to be reminded that it does still exist and in NYC of all places. The staff was warm, friendly and ultra accomodating from the doorman to room service and everyone in between. Maybe it was the record high temps that we had for the weekend that had everyone so mellow! Wonderful service on top of the exceptional cleanliness and lovely decor makes this hotel deserve nothing less than five stars!
