My weekend stay in New York to see my son Stephen

Pros: Good location and very near St. Patricks Cathedral which we went to every day and also beside The Waldorf which was also under refurbishment.
My sons friend booked this hotel for us. It was rather expensive and frankly for the price we paid we should have at least had our breakfast included. We found the drinks in the bar very expensive so therefore for the whole weekend very rarely had drinks in the bar/lobby. On Sat nights some live entertainment would have been nice, as we had to travel a fair distance to some bar called The rodeo for some live music. All the staff were more than helpful and obliging. Nice touch with the water in the lobby. I found New York to be too hot, too noisy and I could not believe the amount of construction taking place it was like touring around a large construction site. We get to Carnegie Hall for a matinee which my son booked and that was very nice .

Cons: TV had some issues with responsiveness to remote, seemed to go into sleep mode at random times.
Rooms were small, which is expected for Manhattan, but well appointed. Contemporary design and comfortable.

The area was good. Close to Times Square

The hotel wasn't bad just the bathroom was small... The shower was small and no door. They said it would be free wifi but that wasn't the case, it had to be paid for.

Pros: Decor
Cons: Friendliness of staff
Location: Les barbes and arabesque lounge are fun and a short taxi away
Love the vibe and great music, locatiin seemed to be a little too far from all the places we wanted to be, fun time at whiskey blue

City hotel

I stood here and in a rush to make a dinner reservation... I was doing my hair and the power went out. I was in the dark for 20 minutes. No courtesy or apology was given. This was unacceptable. I had to change my plans because of this. I also heard of the guess next to me that her belongings were stolen as she told the hotel manger

Close to everything!

Pros: location and the foyer entrance. Great smell to the place to.
Cons: Front desk knowledge about simple requests such as scales or towels.
Location: Grand Central Station, half hour walk to 34th street and Times Square.Quick walk to Rockafella and Fifth Ave.
The hotel was lovely to walk into. Apart from initial staffing issues upon check in and some daily unauthorised costs on my credit card it was ok. The rooms are tiny though. There's hardly any room to put your luggage and the bathroom was small. We were firstly checked into a smaller room but the air con was really loud so we got moved to another room however this was still small. We had kept our luggage on the window ledge as there was no-where to put it. Our TV also didnt work well and the night traffic was noisy so was a little difficult to sleep. Location was great and Grand Central Station was just down the road and everything else was walking distance. Some of the hotel staff were super friendly some had a little attitude but the positives outweighed the negatives.

I loved it. The service was personalised and I felt that the staff were always there for me. Based on that alone, I would stay there again. The rooms were surprisingly big!!!!

Good overall small rooms, but very clean and staff accomidating. Expensive breakfast. Near Times Square. And other locations, Rockefeller Plaza.

The hotel is very nice and trendy but when it comes to cleaniness, the cleaning service is very poor and is the worst I have ever seen in 20 years of traveling and stays at 4 stars and 5 stars hotels. The daily room service only takes care of folding the bed and throwing the garbage bin. They do not do any cleaning in the bathroom or the room. They keep empty bottles of shampoo and water where they are even if they are on the floor.
