Nice hotel away from the hustle and bustlePosted Nov 14, 2014
Across from the UN building, in a relatively quiet area of the City. Great if you don't mind taking a cab or a long walk to more happening areas of town. Few great places to eat near by. Elevators are not security keyed at night, so that is a bit disconcerting. Pool was unavailable due to mechanical issues.

view from hotel room was spectacular.Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: The luxury of it and the outstanding views.
Location: It was close to the United Nations and was within walking dustance for all you need when visiting Manhattan.
The hotel was lovely and the views from our room were unbelievable. It was extremely clean and the hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The only down side was that I chose this hotel because it had a swimming pool and after walking for miles sightseeing each day we were looking forward to coming back for a relaxing swim before heading out for the evening. However, the pool has been closed for renovation for some time. I feel that Expedia should have made me aware of this.

Fantastic views over manhattan!Posted Nov 6, 2014
This was our honeymoon so would have been nice to be treated a little special, but alas this didn't happen. No upgrade or flowers etc. Staff at reception were not the most helpful either. It would have been nice to have been given some Info on checking in, ie where and when breakfast was served, amenities, that pool was closed! Also some info on immediate area would have been helpful as its easy to be overwhelmed in NYC! But nonetheless we had a great time anyway.

You can't beat it!!Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Comfort, Quietness, Luxury and very friendly and professional staff. Also the Skyline Club is worth paying extra for (if you have to).
Cons: The leisure facilities...the gym was sparsely equipped for its size a,d the swimming pool was out of action ( and had been for some weeks apparently).
Location: Location is Mid - East Side, nearest station is Grand Central Station. Tudor Park is the nearest Tourist attraction,
My family and I stayed at this hotel, for 6 nights (25-31st October), we booked the hotel through Expedia.Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly porter, who assisted us with our bags and took them to reception for us. The receptionist (Barry), made us feel very much at home and appreciated. Barry offered us an upgrade on our room (at a a negotiated price), which we took and so upgraded to a Suite......WOW! The suite was extremely roomy and allowed our 18 year old son to have his own on suite room within, so allowing him his own space. Everything about the suite was quality, the furnishings, furniture, bathroom(s) everything. The most amazing thing though were the views!! breathtaking to say the least. The hotel is luxurious as you would expect for a hotel of its stature and status especially given the locality of it. One minor grievance (and this is not the hotel's fault), is that the nearest subway station is Grand Central Station which is 3 blocks away, when we were going in and out twice a day for 6 days, the 3/4 mile walk each way did become a little tiresome. Although in comparison to rest of walking that we did, I suppose this was minuscule! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay just out of the main drag of Central Manhattan, it does offer peace, tranquility and comfort. Many thanks for letting stay in your hotel.

Cold servicePosted Oct 26, 2014
All the queen rooms are right by the elevator, the doors and walls are not very sound proof, it's impossible to sleep. The front desk people were as cold as they can be. There is nothing around that area except the UN building. Not recommended.

Good room with good viewsPosted Oct 20, 2014
Thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable room with lovely views. Staff generally friendly and helpful. However, lack of info in rooms re hotel amenities. This led to eating in wrong restaurant for breakfast and incurring unnecessary $80 charge on first day. Fortunately hotel waived the charge and directed us to correct place for breakfast for rest of stay.

Fantastic Hotel pity about some of the staffPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The room was large and comfortably furnished with plenty of wardrobe space. A Nespresso coffee maker and a roomy bathroom with fluffy, white towels.
Cons: The nigh reception staff. At our room 12pm room key didn't work. My husband went to reception and was greeted with "what do u want me to do about it!
Location: Close to grand central station and Chrysler building and Rockefeller centre. 20/25 min walk to Times Sq. Right on the beg of 5th Ave.
This was our first time in New York and the hotel was more than we xpected. This was a special celebration and asked for a room with a fantastic view and wow did they deliver we were on 39th floor and looked on to the East River right across to Long Island. Our package included breakfast in the VIP restaurant on 30th floor - food was fab and great choice. Staff here were slow and never uttered a word. It also included hor deurves and cocktails between 5-8pm - we used this when we arrived but when we asked about the cocktails we were told there wasn't any only wine and beer. We didn't take that any further it was unimportant to us.
