Perfect for Lower Manhattan.

Clean, modern and slightly impersonal. Excellent value for money if you're a hipster in a budget, or visiting from Guangdong.

Wonderful

Pros: Very quiet. Great city view from room and rooftop bar.
My daughter and I stayed here for four nights on a visit to NYC. We loved it. It is in a very nice part of Chinatown, very easy walk to metro and shops on Broadway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also very quiet and we had a great view of the empire state building from our room on the the 8th floor. There is also a great rooftop bar that was fun to go to. We did not eat in the restaurant , but the menu looked good.

City View lounge in top floor

Posted Oct 9, 2014
They have a great lounge on the top floor, City View, which has an amazing view of the Manhatan skyline. Rooms were very modern, had enough room for two, comfortable bed, and we're spotlessly clean. Staff was very helpful.

Interesting side of New York City

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Great location and quiet rooms
Cons: Downstairs outside bar space seems to be more a hangout place for staff, workers (?) who were smoking and on cell phones, is not inviting for guests
Hotel sits at a busy street in the middle of Chinatown. Rooms are bright, quiet, clean and comfortable. The windows must be soundproof as the street noises didn't bother. I felt like being in Asia with all the Asian food stores, bakeries and restaurants. Because of the abundance of restaurants and stores for daily needs, you won't really need to use the hotel services which are discreet anyways. There is an Asian restaurant downstairs as well as a bar and a bar with a terrific view on the roof top. Multiple choices of Public transportation. Also - important for tourists without a car - the so-called Chinatown-Bus-Line that goes to Boston, Washington etc. is only a few steps away. Hotel is good for business travelers and tourists alike.

Nice hotel with amazing views

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: free wifi, great sized room with amazing views of the city
Location: right in the heart of Chinatown, this hotel is also a close walk to Little Italy. We even walked to the Staten Island Ferry.
We enjoyed this hotel high above the hustle and bustle of Chinatown. With Chinatown being so busy, this hotel was quiet and seemed worlds away. We did have to walk a way to get to any subways but we were young and fit enough that it didn't matter too much The rooms were a very good size and with views of the empire state building.

Easy access to New York city.

Cons: The restaurant menu.
My daughter and I shared a twin room. Very comfortable beds. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous view of New York skyline from our 8th floor room. Next time I would like to try a room on the 16th floor. Restaurant limited menu, but nice food. Breakfast open from 6:30am, brilliant for early starters. Breakfast in your room needs to be ordered through the restaurant, not just by hanging the form on the door as I am used to. Bathroom has glass door (not lockable), and a huge glass window overlooking the room. We found this brilliant because you only see blobby shadows, and not shapes through the thick frosted glass. Also, if you leave the curtains open at night, there is enough light in the bathroom so you do not have to put the light on when using the toilet at night (unless you are a man). Local area, Chinatown, streets a bit grubby, but it was only a 5 minute walk to the Subway, and then only 4 stops to 42nd St. Local people seem very friendly. Very quiet at night with no traffic noise. We will definitely stay here next time we visit New York.
