Great view of NYC

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Bar on the roof top.
Cons: nothing
Location: China Town, Subway
Small room but comfy!! with a huge window that gave you a great view of NYC!! Quite big for bathroom, they should give more space for room instead of bathroom.

We always try to stay at this hotel when in NYC. Beautiful rooms, nice views of the city...close to little Italy.

Not too bad

Posted Jul 6, 2015
The Wyndham Garden Chinatown hotel is convenient not only to Chinatown but to Little Italy as well. It's very easy to get to and conveniently located. The 911 Memorial is within a 10 minute drive, and so is Pier 40. The hotel itself was just okay for me. The room was VERY small, and the shower was really odd (it had no closing door/curtain!). The hotel restaurant is decent, but nothing special. In addition, the front desk staff seemed nice, although they didn't offer any additional information or pleasantries about the hotel/area. All-in-all our stay wasn't too bad, but like I said, it wasn't anything amazing either.

Pros: Super location. Bed was good, with nice contemporary décor. Very clean with a sense of newness about it.
Cons: More breakfast options. Plus dining staff acted like they were still asleep. Need an ice machine on every floor! A paper at the door would be nice.
Location: Great access to public transportation, Chinatown and Little Italy.
Great lobby staff. Check-in/out process was easy. Rooms were well maintained with excellent city views.

In the heart!

Lovely room right in the heart of Chinatown and close to little Italy. Aircon was not every efficient so room was a little warm for my liking despite setting.

New Hotel, Quiet, A Little Out of the Way

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: New, clean, quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Staff should offer more information transportation.
Location: The location is great for access to Chinatown and Little Italy. If you want to shop, you have to walk a mile into SoHo or up Broadway. Or subway.
The hotel is new and very clean. At first, I was concerned about noise given the location, but even on a low floor facing the street, my room was perfectly quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel was hassle-free, no waiting for anything. The only issue for me was that it is very hard to get a cab in that location. Still, the staff had an excellent car service they called to take me to the airport, and that was a better option for me anyway. But I had to remark about how hard it was to get a cab for that option to be disclosed. (I had heard staff tell a guest, who had asked about a cab, "just go out into the street and get one.") My experience at that corner is that it was very hard to get a cab. I had to factor that in, and be prepared to walk to take the subway everywhere I needed to go.
