“shining under hard circumstances”

i traveled from maine to newark liberty airport by amtrak for a 2 nite stay to visit friends locally. they came to pick me up so a car was not necessary and i found the access from the amtrak station to the airport hotel shuttle pick up location to be well marked and easily traversed. it was during this time period that the volcanic ash from iceland had interrupted plane travel for thousands. there were people everywhere desparately searching for places to stay. upon arrival at the hotel i found the lobby full. it was wonderful to see the full staff behind the counter still smiling, friendly and moving people along efficiently and quickly without making anyone feel that they were being pushed. in no time i was handed my room key and best wishes. i found the room to be as clean as a whistle. i have a tendency to search under the bed and around the bath the minute i walk into a room and the maid service here deserves a loud round of applause. the bedding was lush, the room spacious &, miracle of miracles, the window opened enough for some fresh air. there was a small gift shop/convenience store in the lobby as well as a nicely arranged and warm feeling bar which was convenient. the only marginal criticism i could give would be that the two meals i sat for in the restaurant showed that they were not up to the pressure. the food was fine, and the servers were friendly but distracted, understaffed & service was slow. all in all highly impressed & very happy with this hotel!

“Friendly staff, comfortable room”

My room was very nicely made up, comfortable bed and clean! I did not see the neighborhood as I arrived at night and left early the next morning. The airport shuttle was large enough to hold many passengers and luggage. I did not go to the restaurant but it is open quite late and the bar also serves food. The staff was very efficient, fast check in, and friendly too!

“Great place to stay”

After I read the other reviews about this hotel, I was a little leary staying here, but I'm glad we did. This was a great place to stay for a park/sleep/fly. The front dest was courteous and prompt to check us in. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the lounge before our flight was very good, great service, friendly greeting by waitress and staff. Very prompt shuttle to the airport. When we came back, no hassle to retrieve our car and leave. Very secure hotel with security guard on duty 24/7! We were very satified with this hotel and will definetly use it again when we fly out of Newark airport!

“Very nice hotel!”

Wonderful hotel with a nice restaurant. Had a great stay! Looking out the window of my room was only the newark airport, so the view wasn't so great, but that's really the only fault I can find with the time I stayed there. I didn't try out the amenities other than the restaurant, so I can't comment on the pool or the exercise room.

“Great deal for short stays”

This is a budget hotel for short stays in the New Jersey-New York area. If you're just looking for a place to shower and crash, this is it. There is a free hotel shuttle to the airport, which will link onto New Jersey Transit to get you to Manhanttan, the rest of New Jersey and even Philadelphia. There is a great restaurant hotel which serves a wonderful breakfast. There is also a convenience store for anything you've forgotten to pack and snacks. The rooms were clean. It looks like they did some surface renovations so the carpet is clean, the beds are new and the smell is fresh. For the price, this hotel was a great deal.

Clean, good service and close to the airport. Even transportation to NYC is easy with a public transportation from Newark. This is a nice, yet reasonably priced place to stay.

Good bed and pillows, the only thing is that the air conditioning was very noyse
