Wonderful staff

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Small, but clean, rooms conveniently located within walking distance to downtown hot spots. All you need, at a reasonable cost, in a great location. The best part is the staff was great- kind, helpful, and attentive.

Picked for Location

Posted Dec 6, 2014
The only major benefit that this hotel had for me was its location for my particular trip. The room was on the small side. Just be aware if there is anyone outside of your room talking with a normal to loud voice you will be able to listen in on their extact conversation.

Brilliant location

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Its location
Cons: Reception area a bit small. With people arriving and departing it can get a bit congested.
Location: All main tourist attractions are within 20 minutes walking distance(even allowing for traffic). A little further away is Central Park.
Easy check-in,staff very helpful, answered any questions we had.Hotel in middle of Manhattan so access to all the tourist locations within walking distances. Room size was fine, bathroom clean and shower adequate. Only used the room to change and sleep but found it quiet.Would stay again.

Great but no lobby

Posted Nov 28, 2014
The hotel is great in every way, except for the lack of a comfortable lobby. I wanted to hang out in the lobby, wait for someone, but there is just a table with a couple stools for that. Very small lobby. However, the room was great, and the people at the front desk were friendly, helpful, and took care of business.

Great hotel in good central location

Just returned from a lovely stay at Wyndham Gardens. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, beautiful view of Flat Iron building at the end of the street. Room was compact but enough room for two, bed very comfortable. Close for access to subway, great location for those that want to explore tourist attractions as well as local favourites.

Very comfy and convenient to everything!

Pros: Small and uncomplicated, comfy bed and great hot shower.
Cons: Offer liquid individual creamers to guests or stock in the rooms. The kind that don't have to be refrigerated.
Location: Restaurants just doors away and down the street. Subway down the street and good walking neighborhood.
A friend and I went to New York for a 6-day girls weekend. We were initially disappointed our room was not up high and on the street side with a view, but as it turned out being on the second floor at the back off the street made the room super quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, nice linens, nice pillows, comforter was a tad too warm so we had to run the air conditioner, which was not something we wanted to do. Nice hot shower, good TV, individual cup coffee maker, etc. It would be great if the management offered individual liquid creamers to their guests for morning coffee in the room. The Chelsea location is convenient to site seeing uptown or downtown and near the subway. A lovely pizza restaurant is about three doors down, El Presidente taco bar is across the street (great brunch selections), and Mario Battali's "Eataly" is down the block offering a whole host of prepared and packaged food options. Directly west is the High Line -- a delight for a daytime walk and people watching. Chelsea Market is also nearby and well worth the trip.

Location: Great location at a competitive rate!
Stayed for a business trip and was just what I needed: a decent place to lay my head, in a nearby location to my event, and at an affordable rate for a non-profit budget
