A little disappointed.

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The room could be larger (we were four people and could not move easily). The bathroom vanity could be a bit larger too.
Location: There is a lot to do nearby the hotel. Shopping was great.
The location of the hotel is perfect but the room was way too small for four people. However, people at the reception were great.

Good Times

We stayed here from July 17 to July 20; typical New York size hotel room. I felt comfortable with no issues. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Location was great. Would book at this hotel again.

Nice location

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Staff, very comfortable bed, quiet block and lovely shower and bathroom
Cons: Towels seemed a bit worn as did some of the hallway carpets
Location: Madison square garden park, City piers, Empire state building, Penn station, Hope Lodge if you happening to be visiting a patient,
Great location. Convenient to many attractions. We happened to be going on an evening cruise from the east side pier which was a 15 minute walk. Pretty roomy for a NYC hotel, especially the bathroom ! Bed very very comfortable. Could invest in some new towels in the near future. Staff very friendly and helpful. Looks like there are lots of nice resturants in the area but being new to the area we ate at their adjoining restaurant. It was okay but next time would explore other options. Lovely park just a block away !

Lost item

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Carpet is very old and outdated. Ice machine location in LL, not very convenient.
Location: Location is great.
One of my travel size bottles containing hair serum, disappeared from my room. I called the front desk to inform them of the incident and requested a styling product I could use. I didn't hear back in 30 minutes. I called the front desk again 15 minutes later, a staff showed up with two styling products. I appreciated what they did. However, they took almost an hour so I was delayed and missed my bus. The missing item was clearly not trash. I also had issues connecting to the internet and my phone wouldn't ring while I was inside the room. I was only able to text. Very strange.

Convenient Hotel

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location, safety and cleanliness
Cons: Staff knowledge of local tourist options
Check in was quick but system was down at check in so was accidentally given the key to a room that was already occupied. Room was clean and comfortable and larger than I had expected (although still smaller than a standard room). Bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked. Staff were friendly although not overly attentive. Their knowledge of the touristy things to do was limited. The hotel was close to Madison Square Park and a number of metro stations were within an easy walking distance.. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, pharmacies close by and a Starbucks at the end of the road. The location felt safe to walk about. Overall I felt that this hotel was a safe, clean and good value place to stay in New York.

Excellent location in Chelsea

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: I was disturbed one late night with someone who was either confused or was deliberately trying to get into rooms. Improve security please!
Location: Downtown! Chelsea!! etc
This hotel is in an excellent location for visitors that want to avoid the hassles of mid-town and enjoy the Village and downtown.

3 nights in NYC personal.

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Centered between two metro stations.
Cons: Better plants in the entry.
Location: Lots of shops for eating, shopping, miscellaneous needs near by. Subways very close.
This location worked well for me. First time traveling to NYC alone, with typical concerns of safety and comforts. This hotel met those standards. I would stay again.

Convenient location for a very short stay.

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location.
Calling the room a room is being generous. More accurate would be to call it a cubicle. On the other hand, location almost guarantees you'll only be in the room to sleep. However, value for the money - there are alternatives that offer more spacious accomodations for very little more, if any. If you're coming with a family - look elsewhere.
