Pros: Clean,comfortable and great location.
Cons: Better WiFi service in the rooms.
The check in was prompt and polite. Room was clean and quiet, could here no noise from neighbors. Location was fantastic, walking distance from theaters, shopping, sites and subway. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent hotel near Penn StationPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Bed was comfortable and staff was friendly.
Cons: The rooms could be cleaned better (or replace carpet) and an updated bathroom with better customization for shower temperature.
Location: Great nearby restaurants, walking distance from times square and very close to the subways.
Our room was small (though I hear this is common in NYC, it was our first experience there) and the bathroom was very outdated. The knobs on the tub were broken and the showers were either scalding or cold, no in-between.

Location: Closes to Macy's easy walk to Time Square and other attractions.
Excellent location for shopping. Easy walk to Time Square. Great dining at 24 hour Tic Tock diner.

Nice Hotel close to many sitesPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The View! This was my first trip to NYC and was wowed by the view from our room! Location was great too. Close to sites and subway stops.
Cons: Shower was a little finicky. Very hard to control the hot/cold ratio as it varied during the actual shower going into scalding hot at times.
Location: Location was within walking distance to many sites in the garment district...shopping! Plus Times Square, Empire State building and many others.
Beautiful lobby lead to a beautiful if small room. But don't get me wrong, although small, the room was cozy, clean & nicely furnished. Will definitely stay here again.

comfortable roomPosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: friendly helpful staff everywhere, very comfortable room
Cons: eventually the tub in my room should be resurfaced with porcelain or replaced
Location: great diner on the first floor, views of Empire State Bldg and Chrysler Bldg, subway stops for uptown and downtown are on adjacent corners
small, but very comfortable, housekeeping was excellent bathroom was "old fashioned" but excellent shower, water pressure and temperature Loved having my own thermostat so i could set the temperature and choose low, medium or high fan: very comfortable regardless of outside temperature

Wonderful art-deco era hotelPosted Sep 27, 2014
I love this hotel it is right in the heart of Manhattan and has the feel of another era; not an hotel for those who like brand spanking new modern hotels, but one for those who enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of an earlier era with the comfort and conveniences of today'.

Good locationPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Great location. Close to everything. lots of sights within walking distance and close to metro stations.
Cons: Probably the price , but you are in NY city. Could not connect to the free internet, but did not really care.
Location: central to most attractions, Empire State building, Times Square, all within walking distance. For everything else use the Metro.
Very small room but who cares only there to sleep so I would say that it is cozy. Hotel staff were very pleasant, including the lovely lady who cleaned our room.

Extremely overpriced but it is New YorkPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: The lobby had a early 20th century kind of charm
Cons: Needs major renovation, or better yet tear it down and build a new hotel
Location: Location was fantastic, close to Times Square within a 5-7 minute walk. Starbucks across the street, as well as a Mcdonalds. Location was unbeatable.
Hotel is undergoing major renovations and it is really needed. The lobby is nice, it has a kind of 1920's kind of vibe. The restaurant makes no sense to me, the theme doesn't carry over, the food is below average, the men's bathroom is something like you would see in an old gas station. Water in bathroom came out black one day, not sure what that was all about. I spent $1,900.00 for a suite for three nights so it would have really had to have impressed me, which it did not. Overall a major disappointment.
