“Nice hotel, nice location, a working heater would have been nice”

Overall, this is a really nice hotel. I just had a few issues that (I hope) aren't regular occurrences. When I arrived at EWR I phoned the hotel to arrange for their shuttle to pick me up and 45 minutes later (no exaggeration and yes I did call back after a half an hour wait) a shuttle finally came. The person at the front desk was kind enough to put their personal calls and conversations on hold to check me in, and then when I called down to inform them that my heater wasn't working, they were nice enough to send an employee up to adjust my heater from 80 to 85 degrees and advise me to give it a miinute and call the front desk if it didn't work. The next morning as I was leaving, I did inform the front desk the heater still wasn't working and they assured me it was being addressed and maybe it was, just not during my stay. Heat and staff issues aside, this is in a great location, it has nice sized rooms and a great restaurant which are all solid reasons to stay here.

“Very cheap hotel but You will be disapointed appropriately”

It is a Very cheap hotel but You will be disapointed appropriately, with every single second You will stay there. I'll definitely not recommend this hotel unless if You are running out of money....

“Would stay again.”

Stayed here for a short trip to NYC. Awesome location, shuttles to airport and train station. 10 minute train ride to Penn Station in Manahattan. Had to wait a bit for the shuttle, but nothing horrible. Room was clean, breakfast was just OK. Far more affordable than staying in NYC and I would definitely stay here again!

“A little rough on the edges...”

I've stayed at this hotel in the past, as it is convienently located and reasonably proced. This time is seemed like it was rough around the edges. There was peeling wall paper, ceiling water stains and other maintenance items which needed repair.

“Excelent option near NYC, 30 minutes by Penn Station”

My plan was visiting NYC and stay close, but outside NY. This hotel has a good price, good coffe break, its clean, the front desk is helpfull (i've bought electronics at Amazon and they received them for me with no charges). The hotel is only 7 min walking from Newark Penn Station but you can use a translate service from hotel 24h. At Newark Penn Station you pay $5.00 to take a train to NYC Penn Station (close 34st, Madson Square Garden and Macy's). I've rented a car for a week to go to Jersey Gardens Outlet, and the hotel doesn't charge the parking.

Area recommendations

Go to Jersey Gardens Outlet, good prices in famous american brands. Just 10 minutes by car from hotel. The Newark Penn Station offer trains to NYC, 20 minutes, very quickly and cheap. There is a NJPAC (like an arena) where there is sports competition at night.

“Easy connection”

Great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us the best directions into NYC. The ladies in the guest lounge who were in charge of breakfast were hilarious. I would go back here in a minute.

Getting around

Newark Penn station is a 4 block walk. The trip will cost $2 to get to NYC in 30 minutes or less.

“Good location near New York”

Have recently spent a few days here and was very satisfied with everything. We wanted to explore New York but as the hotels there are so expensive we chose Newark. A free courtsey bus takes you to Penn Station where you can then travel on the NJ Transit train to New York city within 20 mins. The free bus also transports you to and from Newark International Airport. The rooms are spacious , clean and comfortable and the staff helpful. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is good but quite pricey. A small shop is situated in the lobby which stocks drinks, snacks and other useful items.

“Cheap, but you'll pay for it in other ways”

Expedia recommended this hotel as near JFK - it's not. Cab fare will run you 125.00 each way, which would be better spent on upgrading to a hotel in New York. Business service center is a joke - no printers. It's only redeeming quality is it's near Penn Station.
