nice to have free parking but event was going on

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: IT was clean for an older hotel.
Location: Great location near Prudential Center and a very easy drive to and fro.
free parking was wonderful, but event was going on and had to sardine the car then have it fetched in morning. One elevator broke down, and walls were very thin. LIght in bathroom didn't work right but staff were quick to fix.

Private and quiet.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was expedient in getting us checked in. TV could've been better; but not a problem.

I had an interview in downtown newark, so this hotel has the best location just 0.5 mile from my destination. The room was tiny, and old. But for all it matters it was clean. The breakfast was kinda good also.

Nice location and clean.

This hotel had a great location, very close to public transportation and the prudential center. The room was clean, but small. The front desk staff were very unfriendly and not very helpful, it felt like we were irritating them when we asked simple questions. The parking was difficult, but free. They had to love multiple cars to let us out of the lot.

Better than I expected.

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: The view from my window was wonderful.
Location: The hotel was in a great downtown location, close to the water and entertainment.
Wow, what an outstanding time I had. The staff was welcoming and the facilities are top notch, I didn't expect that from a Best Western, but this is not your average. I would stay there again.

Pros: close to the airport and is very reasonable and clean.
Cons: A little more parking
Location: The onsite restaurant has a wide variety of menu and the portions are very large.
Hotel is close to the airport, offered free wi-fi. Has an on-site restaurant that the food was very good!

Ok for a night

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: The shuttle service and it's close to NJPAC.
We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a concert at NJPAC and didn't want to take the train home late at night. The hotel has a shuttle to/from Penn Station, which is especially convenient. The staff was friendly. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, The Maize. The food was very good, although somewhat pricey. There aren't many other places to eat within walking distance, but the young man at the front desk gave us a few menus of local places that deliver to the hotel. It's an older building, so it has that "old building smell." The rooms are smaller than the standard hotel room. It was reasonably clean. The bathroom is very small, with the toilet wedged in between the sink and wall. So unless you're a child, it's a little uncomfortable. Our room was next to the elevator, which was loud. Overall, it's fine if you need a place to stay overnight and aren't looking for anything fancy.
