Right in the middle of downtown

Got left by courtesy shuttle at Penn station at 1 in the mourning. Was almost mugged and had to pay to get back to hotel.staff said I didn't call until I show by phone log. Hotel lacks upkeep. Good breakfast but pricey digs.

No taxis

Horrible help with getting around town. Hotel staff was always more concerned with checking people in/out and chatting with them than providing customer service.

Nice hotel close to concert.

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very nice.I hope to be back again.
Cons: We were very pleased with our rooms.
Location: We attended a Eagles concert. We also used the shuttle to go to the mall shopping and to Penn station. We took the subway into Manhatten
The hotel was within walking distance to the concert we were attending. The staff were excellent and helpful.

Great location, BUT....

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: LOCATION -within walking distance of train station and lots of transportation alternatives.
Cons: staff etiquette, food handling
Location: Its Newark - if you are uncomfortable in 'transition neighborhoods', take the shuttle from train.
Loved the location & shuttle to Penn Station. Friendly and Helpful staff. However here are negatives I experienced: i) bathroom drain was clogged for the two nights I stayed (and yes, I did inform the front desk) ii) oranges in the fruit bowl of the complementary breakfast area had blue mold (breakfast staff was surprised!) iii) breakfast staff sat on the steps leading to the breakfast area chatting, while guests had to pass between them iv) water leak in the ceiling. Reached out the manager after my return home and all he said was "I'm sorry" and "they changed the fruit this week". I said what does that mean? Doesn't the staff check the fruit bowl every day before breakfast?Tthis hotel would be a great stay if those issues were resolved and more professional training of staff is required.

Great Hotel with easy access to Manhatten

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Where can I start. The staff in the hotel were amazing all the way from the Cleaners to reception staff to the shuttle drivers. Everyone gave me a great welcome. The rooms were fantastic perfectly sized and nice and comfy for a week long stay. The transit into Manhatten was very simple with a free shuttle to Newark Penn and then $5 return ticket to World Trade Center or 33rd Street. Also I would like to say the Lobby Shop staff were amazing and welcomed me every time I entered the store and were always happy to have a nice chat. All in all a great experience.

welcome rest before and after long flight

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: location
Located close to train station. Called for pick up and van arrived promptly. Driver was courteous and knowledgeable. Bartender Paul was pleasant and friendly. Beds were comfortable and location was quiet. On return from 12 hour flight we were picked up at airport and whisked to comfortable room for a sound night sleep. Dropped at train in morning. Clean, comfortable central location.

Conveniently located hotel near airport

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: It was near Newark Airport and Penn station and offered shuttles to both. Parking was secure and free during our stay.
Hotel was conveniently located near Newark Airport and Penn Station. We were able to leave car during our stay but I was not able to leave it when we had to fly out of Newark for 4-5 days. Rooms where clean and the complimentary breakfast was copious.

Close to the Prudential Center

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Close to the Prudential Center
Cons: staff friendliness and helpfulness larger accommodations more seating or better location for breakfast
Location: Prudential Center
When you get your room assignment, make sure it is not NEXT TO THE FREAKIN' ELEVATOR!!!! Sleepless in Newark!!! The room was so small we could barely turn around. The bathroom door would close on its own. The bathroom was so small that when you tried to sit on the toilet, your knees practically banged in to the door and or wall, depending. Ugh!! Best thing about the hotel was the close proximity to the Prudential Center. Worth all of the lack of amenities to be able to walk to the fabulous Eagles concert. Continental breakfast may have been good, lack of seating prevented us from trying anything. Horrible room and the staff could care less about anything. Parking was ridiculous, however the attendant was very nice and took care of our car. He was the only one tipped during our stay.

Customer satisfaction

The staff at the front desk were exceptionally fantastic and very generous. The room was clean and I felt ccomfortable while I was there for 3 days. With a minor exception, the rooms need to be upgraded, remodel.
