Nice hotel close to the Newark airport.

Excellent service in their restaurant. I am vegan and the menu was pretty much animal based. They were more than happy to accodate my needs and made a nice dinner for me. Nice, comfortable, and clean rooms.

Reasonable Hotel close to New York.

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The clean, tidy well serviced rooms and the easy access to New York by rail.
Cons: The poor attitude of the Reception Staff. The reliability of the shuttle bus and, The reliability of the Wi Fi
Location: It was all about the easy access to New York and we all know there's plenty to do there.
This was the third occasion I have stayed at the Robert Treat Hotel, this time being with my wife. The room was clean and the Air Conditioning, when needed, worked satisfactorily. The room was well serviced and I was able to utilise their laundry. This is definitely not a luxurious hotel, but it meets one's basic needs. There were a few noises during the evening, but nothing to be perturbed about, and this was while there was a wedding taking place on the premises. The people that ran the shop on the ground floor were most helpful and friendly. What I found concerning was the rather poor attitude of the persons in charge of reception. On the couple of occasions I sought assistance, I felt as though I was being a pest. They could take some lessons in human relations from the very friendly and courteous staff who operate the breakfast room. It takes so little effort and makes such a difference. The shuttle bus proved to be unreliable on the first occasion we tried it so my wife and I elected to walk to and from Newark Penn Station. The Wi Fi was a real puzzle. When we tried to log on, we kept getting a 'too many subscribers' message. With some tinkering, we managed to overcome this obstacle. The pity about the Robert Treat Hotel is that it could be so much more with relatively little effort.

Worse night ever in NYC!

Posted Oct 10, 2014
I used to be a regular but this hotel has gone completely down the drain: Shuttle takes forever to arrive at airport, customer support is non-existent, rooms as either small or dubiously clean (I wonder if they change the sheets every day). Avoid if you can and get to Manhattan as soon as you arrive.

Great hotel with convenient access to NYC

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Stayed here for three nights and had no major issues. They provide regular service to and from the airport and Newark Penn station facilitating travel. Had occasional issues with WiFi in the room but they usually resolved soon.

Great Stay

Cons: Breakfast could be in a larger place but this is minor.
Great place to stay when your going to the Prudential Center walked 6 blocks.

Pros: location
The hotel is a convenient location for the purpose of our trip. Comfortable and nice. On some floors the ice machine and vending machine are not working so you have to try another floor.
