Nice hotel in downtown NewarkPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Clean and neat
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Joe's Crab Shack directly next door was very good.
I came to this hotel with my 6 year old daughter for a Katy Perry concert at the Prudential Center. The hotel was very nice and I was extremely happy with the door man. He was very nice and courteous. I overall enjoyed every part of the hotel except for the girls at the main desk. They were polite and all, but more like it was fake. When I checked in, they told me that if I forgot some personal items to call them and they have everything free of charge. I called about nail clippers, a toothbrush, and benadryl and they told me the directions to walk 15 minutes to the Rite Aid and they were talking to me like I was dumb or something. Then when I checked out, I asked what my total bill was since when I ordered food they charged it to my room, and they said since I booked with expedia they could not tell me how much parking or my food total was and that I would get that information from them. They just seemed like they did not want to be bothered. But besides the 2 girls at the desk, I loved everything else about the hotel.

Great if coming to the Prudential Center in NewarkPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: It was clean. It was right next to the Prudential Center.
Cons: Breakfast could be included with your stay.
Location: If you are going to an event at the Prudential Center, this is right next to it. Dinosaur BBQ is also within walking distance.
We were coming into Newark for a Katy Perry concert at the Prudential Center and so this hotel was perfect. It is right next to the Prudential Center, so we could park our car in the parking garage and not have to move it again until we left the next morning. If you are not use to being in a city, as we aren't, this is the way to go. We walked to Dinosaur BBQ, which is also right across from the Prudential Center, and walked to the concert later. The hotel itself is clean and new feeling. The rooms are nice and comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel (not included) and everyone was happy with their selections. Know ahead of time that you do have to pay for parking in the parking garage, but this is the way in the city. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood, but if you are going to the Prudential Center, this is where it is. We felt safe in the hotel. You have to use your room key for the elevator and someone at the front desk lets you in if you are coming in after 11 pm, as we were the night of the concert.

Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Vent/fan needs to be added to the bathrooms for ventilation.
Location: Near the train station. We did not do anything near by. We rode the train into New York everyday.

Great NEW hotelPosted May 7, 2014
Pros: I liked that the hotel was modern. You get a fridge and coffee maker in your room. There is a microwave in the lobby in the little deli section.
Location: Great location. Shopping right outside the door and great food at the Crab Shack
The hotel is located downtown which could feel a little unsafe to some. However, the key entry elevator ensures that there are no random people wondering the halls.

Great Location to see a Hockey GamePosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Customer service; all staff were pleasant.
Cons: Selection at hotel bar
Location: Prudential Centre: Hockey game; Dinosaur BBQ: a must place to eat!
The staff where great upon entrance and exit. I had a very easy check in experience and the rooms were much larger than expected; great room sizes!! There was a lack of beer selection at the hotel bar (only 2 brands and 3 bottles each) so don't plan on spending your evening there :) Walking distance to the prudential centre and great deal on parking... Overall was pretty happy :)
