Very clean looked presently modernized. Only down fall was we were right next to the stairs and heard every 1 coming and going all night up till 5.30 in the morning. We had our 6 year old son with us so not good. Plus because we had pre paid only member of staff that spoke to us at all was man behind the bar

Ideal location for centre of Newcastle

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Clean and not too big so you felt like the staff knew who you were
Cons: May be have a few resident permits for parking as I don't think there would be enough parking spaces if all the rooms were full
Location: Couple of supermarkets nearby and a few shops. Plenty of places to eat nearby; few bars also.
My sister and I stopped at this hotel for a couple of nights. The hotel is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Metro - £2.60 daily ticket - about 10 minutes to the centre of Newcastle. Few bars and restaurants nearby to the hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel but you could have breakfast (£9.50) which we thought was a little steep and also you could have evening meal. The car park is not very big and the parking around the hotel is permit holders only (apart from a Sunday). The staff were friendly. The room itself was small but had everything you needed - tea and coffee and biscuits which was a nice touch. Also hand and shower gel. Would recommend this hotel

Lovely hotel room. Lovely decor, view & staff.

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Room. Staff and location
Cons: Lift? Was there one? I didn't see it if there was, but it would have been great as I had lots of bags. This was manageable though
Location: Lots of bars, friendly eateries nearby: a leafy part of Newcastle. Less manic at the end of Osborne Rd where the hotel is, further down is louder
Helpful staff who helped with booking a taxi and offering a later checkout time as my train back home was later in the evening. Gorgeous room: beautiful decor, fantastic bed and a great view from the window overlooking the church. Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming: they suggested places to eat in the near by vicinity and offered a place to leave my bags whilst I wandered. Really lovely hotel. Many thanks. A treat after a stressful journey up from the South.

Pros: Staff were very helpful - found us parking.
Cons: Decor needs to be updated - floors a bit creaky - back rooms are quiet.
Location: Good location
Very helpful staff. Accommodation is fine but not posh.

Fantastic staff. But that's all.

Posted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: Fantastic staff
Cons: Shower
Location: Great location in cozi, calm area of Newcastle
There is quite a contrast between the effort put in by the staff and the quality of the accomodation overall. I've found the staff one of the best I've ever met, they were always with a smile and actively looking to find out if there was something I needed to be happy as a customer. The hotel is worn out, I've found the bathroom dissapointing (I always go irate, especially for that price range, when I have to practice weird gymnastics in a tight shower to get a good rinse just because a hotel manager decides to install only fixed wall showers?). Also, I believe there is a fair amount of dustmites as it triggered an unusually strong rinitis (and I do a lot of travel for business). Although they volunteer to change bed sheets and towels, full set, every day - which I found unnecessary, maybe two three times a week is enough - I think they should rather consider a better hoover instead. And go for some more long term improvements ...

Great hotel for anyone

Posted Mar 12, 2013
Pros: Location and helpfulness of staff
Cons: Room was reasonably small but comfortable nonetheless
Location: Perfect location for the bars & restaurants on Osbourne Road and not far from the city centre
Great hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is in a very good location but there is not a lot of parking. Fortunately the hotel staff moved their cars for us. The hotel was clean and tidy. We didn't eat or drink there but the restaurant looked large enough.
