My only complaint is - I had to pay to park @ the hotel, that’s ridiculous. If you stay the night in the hotel your parking should be included

Downstairs modern but bedrooms dated and cold. Was in an accessible room (wasn’t required) and the duvet was plastic and couldn’t comfortably have a shower because of handrails and seats. Great for those who require it of course. Headboard leather all torn. Not worth the money! Stay at the Premier Inn!

Lovely welcome. So close to Newcastle airport and local area. I was going to a funeral in Ponteland, not a holiday! Room very comfortable and soundproof. Had a nice meal in their restaurant.

The bed we had definitely needs replacing as you can tell that some of the springs have gone. If you put the plug in the sink then it gets stuck so we had to call Maintainance, the shelf on the door of the fridge was broken and fell off as soon as you open it. Equally, the bar and restaurant have managed to run out of Sauvignon Blanc, this happened previously when I stayed here for 5 nights in May 2023, surely if you run out of Sauvignon Blanc the manager might think that this is a popular choice of wine and maybe order more?! There was a lovely chap in the restaurant, I think his name was Abdul, he was a brilliant waiter.

Going Downhill
This was our fourth visit in 3 months. This hotel has been excellent in the past but standards have declined noticeably in recent months. Maintenance in the rooms is poor. Every room we've had, has leaky taps which soak the floor. The sink plugs don't work and on this occasion the hairdryer wasn't working. And, as was the case for a previous reviewer, the room clock was still on 'summer time'. Worst of all is the ineffective or non-functioning heating. On every recent visit, we've had to request the heating be switched on/re-set (or had to change rooms because it was simply too cold & could not get solved). I do not expect to visit a hotel and then go through the same routine, every time, of complaining about the absence of heating. I paid for a room. I expect it to have acceptable, controllable heating as part of the service. This used to be an excellent airport hotel, and much better than the competition but those days seem to be history.

Great location for early morning flight but bit dated on infrastructure in rooms. No usb charging points and lamps have special plugs so you have no way of charging by bedside. Room had sweet wrappers on floor when came in and hotel phone didn’t work. Was way too hot in room and ac never seemed to kick in.

Fantastic stay, straight off the metro and into the hotel, staff very helpful,the room was a good size n very comfortable bed, restaurant good value for money, the only down side is the internet was rubbish as so was making a phone call from inside the hotel, I had to conduct business call outside, not ideal, would I stay there again..YES I WOULD AND WILL..

I was expecting a lot more from such a prestigious name in hotels. The breakfast was terrible & overheard another guest say that there is an additional charge for anything otger than srandard coffee with your breakfast 😳 As i stated just expected much more from them!

Newcastle airport stay…
Hotel is good, but badly refurbished with thin walls so you can’t sleep in the morning properly because of people slamming the doors (no doors stoppers) and you hear hoovering of the room next to you. Breakfast is average with any extra item charged separately like espresso coffee. The only real advantage is walking distance to the airport…
